@AlexCristache I read that the final design was caused by a “lucky accident” when Ive’s pet CATFISH removed part of the clay model with a byte, so Ive decided to move in that direction. That’s allegedly was on the Media Press Kit that Ferrari distributed on the presentation

I thought I'd give this more time, let it settle in, maybe I'd come around to like it. But now I have more questions... Since the #Ferrari Luce was designed by Jony Ive and his team: 1. Can you change the cover? 2. Does it charge via Lightning or USB-C? 3. Does the engine sound require an active Apple Music subscription? 4. Does popping the hood void the warranty? 5. Does it have a Pro version, you know... with internal combustion? 6. Does it have a "Find My B*lls" function? I even tried beer goggles. Unfortunately, it's still an incredibly ugly and utterly unfitting Ferrari design.

The absolute worst in history. Whoever designed and approved this abomination should be fired and never allowed to step foot in Italy ever again. #Ferrari Luce? No thanks. Keep the lights off - someone might want to touch it that way.

Ferrari has just officially unveiled its first ever all-electric car, called the Ferrari Luce. • Starting price: $640,000 • Interior co-designed with Apple's former head of design, Jony Ive • Range: 280 miles (expected EPA) • Peak charging speed: 350kW • 122 kWh battery • 1,050 horsepower • 0-60mph: 2.4s • 800v • Four-door four-seater • Four electric motors • OLED screens • Weight: 4,982 lbs • Front motors spin to 30,000 rpm, rears hit 25,500 rpm • Car uses an accelerometer to capture real vibrations from the electric motors & rear chassis. An algorithm filters out unpleasant frequencies and amplifies only the more “musical” sounds. This can be heard inside and outside the car. • Paddle shifter on steering wheel changes how aggressively torque is delivered, with five different levels • The trunk has 21.1 cubic feet of space, the largest luggage capacity the company has ever offered • 197.6 inches long, about as long as a Tesla Model S U.S. deliveries start in Q2 2027. Introducing Byline CMS: We've spent more than a year working on Byline, a new open-source headless CMS, with our reference implementation built on TanStack Start and PostgreSQL. While it's still early, we thought the project might be in good enough shape now to give anyone wanting to take a closer look a pretty good idea of how Byline was designed and built. Links to the repo and to the site with very early machine-generated docs are in the comments below (the docs aren't great). We started work on Byline for a few reasons, the main one being that we wanted to provide our customers with a platform that was a better fit for the work they do, in particular with respect to content language translation, document versioning and workflow. You can read more about our take on this in the Mission / Vision section in the repo README or on the site. In terms of timing, I suspect that if we'd posted this in 2024 - it might have generated a little more excitement than it likely will today - amid the firehose that is all things AI. That said, we've also benefited significantly from the latest coding agents and LLMs - Claude Code in particular. We designed the core storage system and collection schemas by hand, well before the 'big lift' in AI coding agent capabilities that happened late November last year. Since then we've used Claude extensively to help make progress. We've talked about this a bit more in our docs and README as well. We've also included what we think is a pretty good AI-assisted editor via our AI package. If only one other developer or agency decided to take a closer look, that would be great. We would very much appreciate an extra pair of eyes or two. There's still plenty to do, and we've almost certainly made mistakes. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions, would like to know more, or would even be interested in a call or a demo. Hope a few of you out there like Byline as much as we do. Will try to get an introductory video up as well soon. Oh and a hat tip to the folks at Payload CMS as we were inspired by a lot of the great work done there. @tannerlinsley @matteocollina @sebastienlorber @jacobsfletch @AlessioGr #tanstack #react #opensource #headlesscms #typescript #postgresql #contentmanagement
