Congratulations to the new owners of Algorithmic Synesthesia. Harvey Rayner sells out early to his community of dedicated collectors 👏
Harvey Rayner@harvey_rayner

Algorithmic Synesthesia CC sells out before reaching public sale, using the new @artblocks_io API minter. Many thanks to all who minted and participated in the Collector Curation. With this mint I used an experimental coupon and access mechanic to give my holders deep discounts and time to explore the algorithm before settling on outputs to mint. It was a whole bunch of DMing, but fun to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones. Will share my thoughts about this mechanic at a later date as I feel it has potential, to build stronger artist - collector relationships and filter out speculators. gn🙏❤️ . #291 minted by @chadstrdaumus0

Most landscape photography of the Canadian Rockies looks exactly the same. Same locations. Same blue hour. Same saturation cranked until it stops looking like a place you could actually stand in. I've spent years trying to photograph what Alberta actually feels like. It's quieter than the postcard version. That's the point.

artists aren't traders and they don't spend so much time paying attention to the market. it's been a long time since art market was this interesting to wider circle than just slow accumulators, and it happened within the last week. i missed out too, but am glad Mike is getting more eyes on his art, it's well deserved.

In a market where Art Releases are heating up, its prudent to ensure the utilization of curated collector/community WL if you value your art having a chance at being placed in the hands of collectors at the price dictated by the Artist. While it's great to see any artist sell out a body of works like Mike who has been here for years and is truly talented/dedicated to his craft, No one likes seeing everything go to bots and then people playing Pump n Dump games on secondary. This market is quickly shaping a "if you cant beat them, join them" mentality. The real question is, when do you as a collector yourself say the same?
Mike Karolos@SmirapDesigns

What the just happened??? All 100 pieces sold out in under a minute? Not in my wildest dreams would I expect bots to go for my collection. Got mixed feelings right now. Happy to be sold out but would like the pieces in the hands of genuine collectors. A lesson to be learned. Sorry for anyone looking forward to one. I will predict this next time and make up for it. At least most of you know I'm here for the long run. I've proved that much. I'm kind of out of words right now. Mixed feelings...

Bought my first NFT from @Azuki universe. After doomscrolling the collection for hours, it finally clicked with this Elemental #4669. Although, If I PFP him, I’d probably go with an off white A as the background. Where’s my Azuki fam? How did I do?

Fake 1/1s from xcopy, deekay, and Seerlight were minted two days ago, and one has already been Wethed to a flipper for 4.5 ETH. I was actually bidding on the xcopy after seeing the sale, but luckily someone sent me a DM telling me it was a scam. I really hope Opensea or SuperRare can do something about stuff like this. It’s listed in the official collection with the official trait, but they’re duplicates.

Thank you all so much for the incredible response to Gift of Time. I’m honestly grateful to see this project connect with so many people, from so many different places and backgrounds. I originally planned to share more about how the system works while the mint was live… but it sold out before I had the chance. :) So I wanted to start digging a little deeper into some of the questions I’ve been getting. One of the most asked about elements has been the moon phase calendar. Moon phases are built directly into the system, slowly transforming the colored circles within the mechanism, forms that act almost like pupils, expanding and contracting over time, like in this animated sketch. And this is just one layer. Gift of Time is made from multiple interconnected systems, each subtly influencing the work as time passes. @artblocks_io + @opensea

Is the selection of pieces also up for network voting once the curation theme is selected, and if so, how? Because if we select a theme, this mints and funds are collected to then (select and) purchase art... is the edition containing final selected artwork going to work as a reveal to original mint? Just curious. Voted and excited to see how all this plays out.

1/ On the 6529 Network Museum The Memes are a form of decentralized funding protocol - of art, of science, of other things that we want to fund. The selection is fully decentralized and the execution, mostly but not fully decentralized. (For now, someone has to press a Trezor button ultimately for the mint to start, though this will change eventually.) 2/ Is this interesting? Is this just specific to The Memes or is the first example of a broader concept? Well, obviously it is the latter. Today, I would like to propose a second demonstration of something that can be fully decentralized, in this case, a museum 3/ The 6529 Network Museum is a museum that is collectively curated and "owned" by the 6529 network, aka the people who have accrued TDH, aka at a first approximation the meme card holders 4/ By "owned", I mean owned the way the Louvre is owned by the French people, not owned the way I own punk6529. In other words, I mean "held in perpetuity by the network" +/-, on behalf of the network, but not for any particular member of the network (myself included) 5/ The network museum will not as a general rule sell pieces, it will not distribute eth to network members or anything of the sort. It will be a smart contract ultimately that is controlled by the network forever. 6/ For now it is 3 of 5 multi-sig SAFE with 5 of us charged with transitioning in it to the TDH controlled smart contract - @6529er @itsjpower @gratusmasculus and @HugoFaz 7/ Now the interesting question - how do you run a decentralized museum - we have a theory on how to start. @6529er and I submitted a Meme Card today with a proposed theme for the first collection of the Museum. Any money he and I receive if the Meme Card is selected will be used to fund a network selection and acquisition of pieces from artists within the proposed theme. 8/ Whether or not our proposed collection is good will be determined by the network by TDH. If our proposed Meme Card and, by extension, collection is selected, the pieces to be collected will also be selected by the network by TDH. Once they are selected, they will be purchased as newly minted CC0 1/1s for the museum and the meme card will show a compilation of them. 9/ I think (and I apologize in advance for this) that this is pretty smart. It took me me quite a bit of time to figure out how to do this, but I like the outcome. a/ Anyone can submit a Meme Card to do this (and I hope people do) b/ the network decides if they like the collection c/ the network decides what 1 of 1s to buy d/ the artists get a 1 of 1 in an extremely permanent collection and distribution to a larger group via the Meme Card compilation e/ the Meme Card minters get a meme card and an edition of interesting work. 10/ Also, the fact that we are only buying, not selling and not fractionalizing, simplifies many otherwise complex issues. I know this is going to confuse people, but it all depends on how you look at it. The purpose of the network is to perform the functions of the state, not of a private individual or company. 11/ Nobody would expect the Smithsonian to be flipping its pieces on eBay or to give a dividend to every American and so the same logic applies here. 12/ There is more detail here: 6529.io/waves/b6128077… 13/ In any case, we will see how it goes - let's see what the network thinks about all this and if it votes for the card - if so, I think we will learn some interesting things

Thanks Justin!!! It uses block time to move, but runs on time, doesn’t tell time. Is actually uses many different ways of measuring time, calendars, moon phases etc… to alter the piece slowly… The colored circles act like expanding and contracting pupils using the moon phases for example, now they are really large and expanded because we are in a full moon. 😅 i went a little crazy with details!

Thank you so much, everyone. 🙏🏼 After a month in Marfa thanks to @artblocks_io and @opensea , and 9 more months building Gift of Time, seeing it sell out in under 2 minutes is honestly overwhelming. My time in Marfa was truly inspiring, and I wanted to fully integrate all the ideas that kept emerging there, along with everything filling my sketchbook, into this project. All the hard work would have been worth it just for the messages, comments, and support alone. This project holds so many layers, small details, shifting systems, and changes tied to time itself… moon phases, calendars, cycles, and movement. As we move away from the full moon, you’ll start noticing subtle changes. Thank you for looking at it, supporting it, collecting it, and spending time with it. It truly means a lot.
