UPDATE ON ARMS CACHE DISCOVERED BY SECURITY FORCES IN ENUGU STATE LINKED TO INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA/EASTERN SECURITY NETWORK
In continuation of series of intelligence led operations to degrade the combat power of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) /Eastern Security Network (ESN) in the South East region, troops of 82 Division Garrison operating under Sector 1, Operation UDO KA, in close collaboration with operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), Enugu State Command have achieved another significant operational success in the ongoing Operation EASTERN SANITY II. This is in an effort to consolidate the ongoing peace building efforts in the region.
In addition to the successes recorded on 9 June 2026 at Gariki, Enugu South Local Government Area, troops further raided a Safe House located at Agbani, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State during which troops uncovered a clandestine arms hideout. A thorough exploitation of the apartment led to the recovery of more weapons and ammunition. These include AK- 47 Riffles, AK-47 magazines, 323 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition and 10 x pairs of IPOB uniforms.
All recovered items and arrested suspects have been handed over to the DSS Enugu State Command for further investigation and appropriate legal action.
This Operation reflects Operation UDO KA’s unwavering commitment to sustaining offensive actions against criminal and terrorist networks that could undermine the ongoing peace building process in the region.
Operation UDO KA reaffirms its dedication to protecting citizens
and preserving national sovereignty while the public is strongly encouraged to continue providing timely and credible information to security forces. These will enhance the collective efforts to achieve lasting peace and security in the South East.

🚨 Breaking: After FIFA announced that referee Omar Artan will not be among this year's World Cup officials, Somalis around the world pledged a $1 million reward to honor him as Africa's best referee.
The result? The U.S. got exactly what it wanted, massive attention for the U.S.
The decision to deny Omar Artan entry has sparked global discussion, making his name trend across social media and turning the issue into one of the biggest talking points worldwide.
Instead of fading away, the story has grown into an international headline.
When I placed the Renewed Hope Agenda before Nigerians, I did not speak of housing in vague terms. I gave my word that this administration would work to make decent homes affordable again, and that a hardworking family, after years of paying rent, would finally have a path to a house of its own.
Let me account for that promise plainly, by juxtaposing what we pledged beside what we have actually achieved.

@Rejoice_inlife We don't know you & your friend.
Only you can believe in this your story.
How can you be telling us a Facebook story on X?
Is it that Tinubu will become a military dictator or constitution will be amended for him to remain as president for 20 years? Because I don't understand you
Immediately after the 2023 elections, a friend who won a state house of assembly election under APC in one of the states, called me to tell to stop criticising Tinubu. He said Tinubu has a 20-year blue print to fix Nigeria just like he's doing in Lagos.
I asked, will Tinubu be in power for 20 years? He said yes. "He has been in power in Lagos since 1999 so he can be in power in Nigeria for 20 years."
Nigerians don't know the battle ahead. They think those of us speaking out are doing too much. Dey play.
Setting the Records Straight on Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's Death
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate, Benue State.
Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28, 2026. They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.
Shortly after their arrest, specifically on May 4, 2026, three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's Holding Facility and were permitted. They cashed in on the opportunity, broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention. Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.
However, fresh intelligence came on Thursday, May 21, 2026 that one of the escaped suspects, Asar Michael Sesugh, was hiding somewhere in the Kansho axis of Makurdi. Operatives made for the location. Upon sighting the team, Sesugh and his suspected cult members opened fire on them.
Operatives of the Commission returned fire in self-defence. All the suspected cult members, including Sesugh, fled owing to the exchange of fire between them and EFCC's operatives. However, Sesugh was later sighted lying in the pool of his blood by the roadside. He was promptly taken to the Police Cottage Hospital at the Police Headquarters in Makurdi where he was pronounced dead.
The Commission reported the matter at the Benue State Police Headquarters, Makurdi and the Police has begun investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death and making efforts to arrest other fleeing members of the suspected cult. Preliminary reports of the findings of the Police have also been released to the public.
The Commission wishes to state clearly that the dead suspect did not die in custody and was not on bail at any time. While the EFCC expresses its condolences to the family of the deceased suspect, it will not condone any further attack of its Operatives or breach of its internal security by suspects. The Commission assures that it will continue to act in the best interests of the nation.
