so what happened in the study? THE RADIATED MICE LIVED SIGNIFICANTLY LONGER they had a 53% LOWER risk of death (HR=.475, p=0.003) than the mice dosed with no radiation!!!

🗞️ With the news that the FDA intends to move certain peptides (such as BPC-157) to the list of allowed substances for compounding, it seems like the FDA is making the following trades: 1️⃣- working to limit/potentially remove the mass compounding of GLP-1s 2️⃣- giving compounders an alternative set of medications upon which to build their businesses 💉 💊 It seems like the trade may go like this - you give up the fake personalization of patented medications, we will open up new products to you that have been abandoned by Pharma but have found interest elsewhere. The difficulty is that 1) it will take time for cGMP manufacturers to generate the new APIs and 2) these will now require prescriptions, leading to the BIGGER problem: 👨⚕️ 👩⚕️ Which doctors are going to risk potential malpractice suits for scripts that don’t have any equivalent FDA approved product? (Because these peptides are largely medications that have had their patents expire and never completed the FDA approval process.) I think certain telehealths will want this business, but will they be able to protect their patients and providers appropriately?
