@schmrypto Your Uncle Ben took that photo of Daddy Earl as part of his coursework at Texas State University back in the early eighties. Daddy Earl was such a sweet person and I loved being around him growing up and listening to his tales. Thanks for sharing this!! 💕

Sharing my last Rodeo post here, an old portrait of my great-grandfather, open for 24 hours as a $.25 OE.
"Last Rodeo
Though he passed away shortly before I was born, I grew up hunting for fossils in the caliche pit on the goat farm of my great grandfather, who everyone called Granddaddy Earl.
Pictured here on the porch where he kept his bed, because he couldn't stand to sleep inside, in a portrait I grew up looking at everyday.
It was wonderful collecting and sharing work here and I greatly appreciate everyone who made it possible!
I wish you a wonderful journey from here.🫂"
Sad to see Rodeo go, hopeful for the future of the format.

@schmrypto So sad!! Rodeo is the only place I have sold some of my photography.

Tragic; a few small tweaks and Rodeo would have flown.
It was the only platform I've seen that had a real chance of doing what Nifty claimed to want: onboarding a billion people to web3.
If anyone wants to clone and vampire attack the platform hit me up.

Yesterday I completed a 3 week road trip with my cat Carl. Here’s the play by play
- Marfa, TX for @artblocks_io weekend 2025 (amazing). Shoutout to every friend I got to spend time with, old and new.
- Terlingua, TX where I saw ancient petroglyphs, and met Clay Henry, the beer drinking goat/former mayor who is now taxidermied
- Big Bend National Park where I bathed in natural hot springs while watching horses graze on the Rio Grande, and got growled at by a black bear cub (who lost his mom 🥲)
- Ozona, TX where I met Pepe of ‘Pepe’s Cafe’, a 60 year old Mexican man who went to Burning Man by himself this year (and ended up telling me way too much about the ladies he met)
- Austin, where I hung with a very good old friend, made new friends, went to a concert, had a fantastic Halloween and ate wayyyy too much BBQ
- Gila National Park, NM, which was beautiful as the leaves turn
- Joshua Tree, CA, where I sunbathed nude on top of a mountain and had many of my questions answered
Life is amazing. Go do stuff. There is so much to do
Thank you to all my amazing my friends. You make life worth living ❤️

transitions bring incredibly shocking emotions
i hit rock bottom end of last year - debt, broken family, broken heart, flooded house, no way forward in cali to be near my kids
this year i made every move necessary - debt gone, sustainable life, new ❤️ and friends
i finally have time to grieve
what i didn’t expect was how deep the triggers would go - the release of feelings, the clarity of awareness, and seeing the past as it was, not through distorted pain or hope
that what i thought was special and unique wasn’t to others
i’m learning to sit with opposite emotions — to separate feelings and needs from actions — and to accept lessons i resisted before
take the pain
make the change.
do the work
and still, you’ll sit with pain
only time and space heal
love you mfers lucky to have you ❤️🩷🫶🫶🎉🫂
