@NeverSinkDev It has provided a significant economic advantage to those using this exploit, which will completely ruin the balance of the league, if it hasn't already. The fact it's still Early Access means it will probably just be patched out.

Due to the Holten-Abuse the value of the Vaal Cultivation Orb has plummeted and the trade-volume is also dropping due to oversaturation. Not to blame GGG (they deserve chill Christmas time as well), but this is one of the spots where the players need to be protected from themselves. Leveling a twink and endless boring resetting of level 60 zones for slowly decreasing profits, while the general economy plummets and normal temple running becomes pointless is really not a good spot to be in.

5 days left until Path of Exile 2: The Last of the Druids launches! Fact of the day: While of the three shapeshifting forms I am most enticed by the Bear, the Wolf assuredly has its merits, especially if you're in love with snappy, quicker gameplay. Honestly, it might be what I gravitate to as I've been a tremendous monk enjoyer, and this looks like Hollow Palm Technique in wolf's clothing... I'm really curious if cycling through different form abilities WILL be viable. I'm pretty certain it won't be optimal, especially at release, but it being a realistic option is something I'm keen to learn. PoE2 actively has the option to swap into different archetypes ENTIRELY at the press of a button, but I've never pursued it as it just seems...too difficult to craft out a real build around it. Truly using a quarterstaff and a spear, meaningfully, not as a movement speed gimmick seems to be in the same vein as swapping from Wolf to Wyvern form. Regardless, super pumped to leap into 0.4 in several days. I'll be chatting with Neversink later today about his thoughts on the reveal as a longtime PoE player and creator and tomorrow is the Jonathan Rogers interview! Talk to you on lives, exiles!

@NeverSinkDev It makes complete sense to build on familiarity, and then when the game matures in a year or two, introduce something completely left-field we've not seen before.

There's this one short-sighted take I hear a lot: 'GGG should stop adding/reworking content from PoE1 to PoE2 and create entirely new things'. PoE2 needs a lot more 'base content'. This includes at least 2 acts, 5 new characters, balancing, skillgems, atlas expansions, unique improvements etc. These things take a LOT of resources. PoE1 on the other hand has content with 10+ years of iteration, finetuning and improvements. Migrating the best aspects of it, while giving things a fresh coat of paint just makes sense: - Most PoE1 core leagues are at least good, so they know it won't fail completely - It creates a good bridge between the 2 games - Leaves a lot more time work on all the missing things above - Potentially allows giving some of these improvement to PoE1 at some point as well For instance: Abyss imo turned out AWESOME. Overall I think it's just a smart way to manage resources - which are not infinite.

@_DarkHorseFM I'll reserve judgement until they've fixed most of the bugs and we have some customisation, albeit with mods. I appreciate it shouldn't be up to the community to enhance its capability but if we're honest, most games have mods that add significant value.

@WorkTheSpace I'm now seeing regular half-time freezes, which I didn't have before? Supposedly an issue that was addressed with the latest hotfix. Having to use the instant result after 45mins, because the players don't kick-off the second half.

@UtdKev8 @StrettyEnd Pretty sure Luke was trying to get a message across from Amad, who said something to Luke as he jogged off the pitch. Amad was given something to eat not long after this. No drama or anything heated. Just looking out for each other, from what I could tell.

@FmCatenaccio Having tried it on my steamdeck, I can confirm it isn't very controller friendly. The tactics screen is really difficult to navigate.

Imagine playing football manager on a controller 😂 SI trying to cater for the fifa crowd will ruin it for many
Jack@WorkTheSpace

The @FootballManager 'First 10 things to do in FM26' blog post containing the advice to 'consider a controller' is genuinely one of the most tone deaf things I've ever read.

@Passion4FM I've delegated this for now. There doesn't appear to be a way of exporting/importing schedules like before either, unless I've missed it. As you say, this needs to be far more intuitive to use and lacks appeal. I'm sure they'll improve it in time, but for FM26, I might ignore it

The user interface of Training Sessions screen is SO bad! Looks like they have dumbed down every department of FM26 just to cater newbies....

@WorkTheSpace I'm sad there's no "clear subs" option. And if you don't drag and drop players on the tactic and instead click on the shirt to see who is best-rated for that position, there's an extra step to "confirm" your choice, which is dead annoying.

@Robert1988_MUFC @MrTomMcDermott We were only creating those chances because West Ham were giving us the ball and were making stupid decisions. Soon as that stopped, we literally offered nothing. Same problems every game. We are going backwards if anything.

@WorkTheSpace Am I having a wobbly Kevin moment? 😂"A good initial response from many of our licensors" is what my eyes are drawn to, so whilst they they'd have to recreate assets due version incompatibilities, a good response from licensors would mean it could be feasible?

@WorkTheSpace Agreed! But unless I've misread the statement, licensing isn't a showstopper for them? The studio has chosen not to proceed because of resource challenges. The way it was worded will likely be proven contradictory, which could be quite damaging.

@darrenlatimer The community doesn't have to worry about renewing or updating licence agreements with partners. Everything written and agreed upon for FM24 was for the last 12 months; suddenly extending that is not something you can do without sign-off from all parties.
