Subnautica 2 devs say "go play Sons of the Forest" if you don't like its lack of violence. The game focuses on underwater exploration, and you cannot kill most creatures. On the official Discord, one player asked why killing is impossible in SN2 as it makes no sense. Level designer Artyom O’Rielly replied, “This is not a killing game, so go play Sons of the Forest if you want to kill.” Another developer said, “The team discusses this a lot inside the studio and may let players catch small fish for food, but large creatures will stay safe so the game feels right.” This idea comes from the first Subnautica, as the team wants players to discover things, feel wonder, and live with ocean life instead of fighting it. A fan-made mod already lets players kill creatures, and the studio is reading all feedback. It plans to add better ways to scare off creatures but will not add weapons. Early access is expected to last up to 3 years.

Dear @TeamYouTube, please help me look into this. My channel, “ScalingStories,” is fighting an “inauthentic content” flag, but my content is not mass-produced or repetitive. Each video takes me 5–7 hours to make, and every video is different. No two videos are the same. Every video on my channel is voiced by me, and any background footage is recorded by me. I add my own thoughts and original commentary to every video, and I put a huge amount of effort into each one. My viewers notice and appreciate that effort, and they frequently react to and comment on my gameplay and commentary. I’m not simply reading material from other websites and reposting it. I’m transforming it into original content that is unique to me and valuable to my viewers. The only feedback I’ve received is to check my case from months ago, when I was initially flagged for inauthentic content, and I’m at a complete loss about what to do with that. I thoroughly reviewed the guidelines and fully overhauled my channel from January 27 to April 27. Every piece of content currently on my channel should now abide by the guidelines. I have done everything you’ve asked of me, and I’m lost and crushed that the only answer I seem to get is to review the guidelines again and reapply in another 90 days. Please help, I’m asking for a fair review of my channel, because I truly believe I haven’t done anything wrong. I was cited for “inauthentic content,” which is described as: “Content that appears mass-produced or repetitive to increase views without adding significant educational or other value.” My content is not mass-produced or repetitive to increase views, and it does add significant commentary, entertainment, and educational value. My videos are voiced by me and manually edited in DaVinci Resolve, which takes me around 5–7 hours a day. The gameplay is also played by me. I also use several custom-drawn avatars to better represent myself during my talking segments throughout my videos, helping me better express the emotions I am feeling and trying to convey to my viewers. The only repetitive elements in my content are my intros and outros, which are allowed under your guidelines. Your guidelines state: “Examples of what is allowed to monetize, including but not limited to: Same intro and outro for your videos, but the bulk of your content is different.” I explained all of this in my appeal video, which was said to be reviewed by a human reviewer. However, the appeal video is unlisted and still shows a view count of 0. Because of this, I do not believe anyone watched my video, yet my appeal was still denied and my content was confirmed as “inauthentic.” I am being denied the chance to reapply to the YouTube Partner Program until July 27, 2026. That is not right or fair to me. I was previously removed from the program on January 27, 2026. During that time, I thoroughly reviewed my own channel and overhauled it, which included changing my format and deleting videos that may not align with the program’s policies. I spent three months, from January 27, 2026, to April 27, 2026, rebuilding my channel. To be denied again for the same policy, “inauthentic content,” after I followed your guidelines and made sure my videos do not violate them, is soul-crushing. I believe my channel was not properly reviewed and may have been evaluated by AI. I am requesting that a real person or specialist speak with me and review my channel, as I am a genuine, passionate content creator who wants to be part of your program.
