Great to be in Richfield today for the 1A boys and girl’s basketball tournament!

I just read Brad Jacobs' new book 'How to Make a Few Billion Dollars' in less than a day, here are my 10 takeaways 🧠 1. Acknowledge and Reframe Negative Thoughts: Recognise that negative thoughts are often a natural psychological response, not reality. Use them as data to make more rational and positive decisions. 2. Embrace Imperfection and Problems: Accepting imperfection can lead to growth and opportunity. Problems in business are often chances to innovate and improve processes or products. 3. Practice Non-Judgmental Concentration: Stay present and lower stress by focusing non-judgmentally on the current moment, which leads to clearer and more objective thinking. 4. Set Ambitious Goals: To achieve significant success, aim for goals that stretch beyond your current perceived capabilities. 5. Invest Wisely in Industry Trends and Technology: Understand the scalability and tech trends within your industry, especially the impact of AI, to make informed investment decisions. 6. Cultivate a Dialectical Mindset: Embrace different perspectives and be open to changing your opinions. This flexibility can be more valuable than rigid intelligence. 7. Value Collegiality and Integrity: Foster a respectful work environment and choose to work with people who contribute positively to your remaining time and well-being. 8. Align Compensation With Performance: Ensure that your team's incentives match the company's goals, encouraging collaboration between departments like sales and operations. 9. Facilitate Productive Meetings: Hold meetings with the right people, a crowdsourced agenda, and a safe environment for respectful disagreement to spark valuable discussions. 10. Adopt a Futurist Perspective for Growth: Consider the long-term implications of technological advancements on humanity and businesses. Embrace thought experiments to expand your mindset and innovative thinking. These were just my highlights, and I'm sure I missed a bunch of interesting content. But in terms of wisdom-per-minute, this book is one of the best I've read.
