Because when you’re fighting a humanoid enemy it scratches the part of the mind that has that reflex to “duel”.
In that framing, the fight feels more like an expression of skill and shared respect. It’s the Goku vs Vegeta framing of engaging with a powerful rival.
Note that I said “feels”, because a lot of these guys have some absolutely BS movesets compared to the massive abominations you fight.

My favorite genre of boss is the one that make people go "Dude, this rpg boss is so tuff is unfair!"
And then you play it yourself and find out all you need to do is actually use the game mechanics to its fullest and have a strategy instead of brute forcing it

@dashalosesit @467Doggo i didnt know that you needed to BEFORE getting to the fight, i was building some but i didnt get that one unlocked, if the game hinted at that I think that would have a LOT better, but when you're in the fight after sending the calling card, you cant go back out + build those sls

This actually doesn't work IRL, I've tried, the only thing that works seems to be to just deny you did anything wrong and throw verbal abuse back at your accuser.
I'm NOT doing that, just so we're clear. But it's a pattern I've noticed.
