What to Do When the Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred Expansion Starts!
- Pick your character and build.
- Select Seasonal + your desired game mode (the Season starts 30 minutes after launch) or play non-seasonal
- Choose Normal or Hard difficulty.
- Open your character panel, go to the Wardrobe tab, and equip your pet.
- Open your character panel, go to the Mercenaries tab, visit the Den, and pick a mercenary (Subo for map hack or Raheir for survivability).
- Enlist a mercenary for reinforcement.
- Complete the Lord of Hatred campaign.
- Complete your class quest at level 15 or 25 (Necromancer). You can skip this if you’ve previously played the character and already completed it after the change.
- Complete your Season Journey and the new Capstone Dungeons to progress and earn big rewards.
- Adjust difficulty based on your drops.
- Do War Plans/open-world activities until around level 55 (honestly, just do whatever is fun and explore, not everything is figured out yet).
- From level 50+, complete all Strongholds on Normal difficulty until you reach level 70.
- At level 70, focus on acquiring/leveling your Glyphs (the best current method is to spam the Pit).
- Decide which endgame activities you want to engage with and get juiced!
- You can also just ignore all of this and just HAVE FUN!
Note: They removed Rapport a while ago, so make sure to grab your skill points and Paragon points from the Season Journey tab.

Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred Launch Times!
The weird thing is that the new season doesn’t start until 30 minutes after, so you’ll have to fish or just wait… idk
I Reviewed Every Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred Review So You Don't Have To! Here's the Summary:
- New Region: Skovos
- New Classes: Paladin and Warlock
- Skill Tree Overhaul (All Classes): Full rework with up to 15 points per skill, branching variants, and runes offering various modifications. Passives and damage multipliers removed from the skill tree.
- Talisman System (Horadric Charms & Seals): New dedicated Horadric Talisman tab with a central Seal slot that unlocks 3–6 Charm slots (higher quality Seals give more slots and their own strong affixes). Horadric Charms drop with random stats: Skill Ranks, All Stats, Resistances, Lucky Hit procs (extra elemental damage or CC), Movement Speed, Gold/XP/Material find, Max Life, Armor, and other defensive/utility affixes to name a few. Farming GG ones should take a while. Drops start appearing early during leveling and scale all the way up to Mythic rarity. Includes 2/3-piece Horadric Set Charms (plus some class specific 5-piece sets) that trigger powerful multipliers and bonuses when completed
- Horadric Cube: Actual crafting! Three tabs (Gear Mod, Item Transmutation, Runecrafting). Includes rare to unique conversions, multi-outcome transfigurations(AKA Sanctification or Vaal Orbs), rune crafting, gem amalgamation and multiple recombination patterns.
- New Turning Prism Consumables used for crafting - Quality of Life: Custom loot filter + transparent map overlay. FINALLY
- War Plans: Custom activity playlists with instant teleports, branching paths, modifiers, and targeted rewards (similar to Path of Exile Atlas). Also used to expedite glyph leveling.
- New Max Glyph Level: 150
- Echoing Hatred: Rare consumable horde mode that starts easy. Rewards scale based on waves completed (refined version of Diablo 3 Echoing Nightmares).
- Torment Tiers: Expanded to 12 tiers (T12 = Pit 100 equivalent). Higher tiers offer better rewards and targeted drops (Mythic Horadric Seals at T10+)
- Butcher added as a permanent lair boss
- Loot & Items: New uniques, Mythics, and affixes added. Uniques now roll random affixes and can be tempered.
- Mythic Shroud Revamp: Lost passives; gained a 300-second cooldown cheat death
- Gems & Affixes: New gem tiers with strong elemental multipliers on weapons (Grand Ruby: x24% Fire/Holy damage or Grand Diamond: x20% All Damage Multiplier).
- Lucky Hit Adjustments
- One More Stash Tab (We Still Need More)
- Fishing
Rumored
- Cow Level: Can drop the Cow Bell from fishing; includes Cow King helmet transmog in the wardrobe
- Tyrael Returns
- Prime Evils Returning: Unique item using Baal's name
