today’s experiment: chimera. a little tool that let’s you realtime morph through a design system matrix generated by 4 reference images. this one was inspired by listening to @jameygannon talk about her process on Dive Club with @ridd_design and How I AI with @clairevo. her approach to choosing moodboards over prompts made me wonder what might be possible if we applied that same approach to generative UI. and after a few dead ends, the idea turned into chimera. the results are very generic at the moment but I might tune it up if people seem interested. the big reminder for me is how much more inspiring a tool feels when you can explore in realtime instead of waiting for results every time you make a change. lots more things to try in that direction.

@abacaj Any time it provides a shell command to download a library, I look up the library on google instead. Half the time it’s deprecated and suggesting different libraries or suggests using a different cli.

I’ve become accustomed to only prompt it for simple repetitive code that is more likely to be in training data

Writing code that is so new even gpt-4 has no idea what to do. Using the latest versions of libraries, gpt-4 doesn’t know how to solve the errors - actually slows me down trying to prompt it when I can make sense of it quicker

@piesaac It is currently quite good at providing snippets for solving small-scale problems, especially if prompted well. It gets more and more finicky the more layers of complexity to you add to it. Def need to have a human hand in there checking its work, testing, and fixing

@FluentInFinance It might be more convenient to eat fast food but that’s a quick way to decline your health. That $22 spent on clean ingredients will do your body a lot better than $10 spent on junk.
