@simontutt88 There is a culture of this. The development of technology hasn’t helped in some ways. I never had an issue referring a patient to PCI centre. Now we have the ability to transmit ECGs I’ve had the same PCI centres refusing to talk about a patient until they have verified the Ecg!

Can't believe in 2022, I'm having a conversation with a Paramedic who genuinley doesn't think paramedics are allowed to diagnose from an ECG or make a differential diagnosis. Who is teaching these people, When they aren't even aware of the HCPC standards of proficiency.

@silv24 It is a lonely and isolated role. I always remember being shouted at by an orthopaedic consultant because he had outliers in medicine. He shouted at me in front of his whole ward round in a bay.

@silv24 As a site manager in a previous life - certainly not condoning this behaviour, it is difficult to express the immense pressure and unrealistic demands placed on site managers. I can assure you the site manager will have countless people each day shouting at them.

As an F1 at a weekend shouted at by the site manager for not doing 2 discharge summaries. Had one patient with a massive GI bleed in one bay & one with sepsis in another (both needed ITU admission) which explained. Was told that wasn’t good enough & I should learn to multitask

What’s something you’ve been disproportionately ‘told off’ for at work? As an SHO I said the right lower zone of a CXR looked ‘a bit grotty’. After WR the consultant took me to the side and went ballistic over use of ‘grotty’ #rage never been able to say ‘grotty’ since

@unhealthytruth You have a doctor with a MBChB (Batchelor of Medicine and Batchelor of Surgery) who also has a Biology degree on your hands who has nearly a decade of clinical experience and who has looked after children with measles including those who have sadly died

sadly we have a troll on our hands such as this. We must send sympathy to the haters. I stated that this man was using vitamins just as had been used on our grandparents:parents and great grandparents etc. All of those statements are truthful and even the WHO agrees. Never lied!

@unhealthytruth @Jimcorrsays Do you feel any responsibility for spreading anti-vaccine lies that are costing the lives of children? There is blood on your hands and the hands of every single person who spreads lies

Arggggh! I hate Tinzaparin! I have every respect for people that are diabetic or need to inject themselves every day 👏I only have a weeks worth of injections to do but bloody hell! I don’t mind giving injections to anyone for work purposes but doing it to yourself !! ☹️☹️

Even though we go through it at induction, “mechanical fall” gets bandied around by the unwise every so often at handover. Like today. Enough was enough (to be fair I haven’t seen the A word for a while) With apologies to @mancunianmedic @RosaMcNamara #Profanosaurus

Dr John Day brilliantly presenting clinical criteria for discharge - he suggests these criteria could be slightly clearer 🤔

Staff being shown how to set up the MDUs generator, heater and water heater. Each Decon vehicle across the region consists of the exact same kit so staff travelling to other areas of @OFFICIALWMAS for a potential incident will be familiar with the kit.
