I would argue that every team has benefited from inconsistencies in officiating over the course of a season. Some more than others, of course, but singling out Arsenal as though we’re uniquely favoured ignores the reality that questionable decisions affect everyone at different points throughout the season.
You can absolutely point to incidents that went Arsenal’s way, just as you can for other clubs. That’s the frustrations of the inconsistent officiating. The issue becomes disingenuous when isolated examples are used to build a narrative around Arsenal while similar moments involving others are dismissed or forgotten.
St Philip Boyd The Second@StPhilipthe2nd
@NepentheZ So for past incidents do you agree that you’ve had goals given that should have been ruled out? You literally can’t have it both ways. Which is why people are aggrieved

@thefutballboy_1 Guess what, other teams (especially Man United) had benefited from that just as much

🗣️🎙️| Roy Keane on Westham goal disallowed:
“The decision itself shouldn’t be the issue because it was the correct call, but Arsenal have been awarded goals like that several times this season, and I could clearly remember the one against United.”
The inconsistency in Premier League refereeing is becoming an absolute disgrace. It happens almost every match now, and something seriously needs to be done about it.
There wouldn’t have been this much outrage from fans if Arsenal hadn’t benefited from similar goals all season. That’s where the frustration comes from.”

🚨| “ARSENAL CELEBRATE = MEDIA MELTDOWN… PSG CELEBRATE = ‘MENTALITY MONSTERS’.
The double standards around Arsenal need to be studied. 👀
When Paris Saint-Germain draw 1-1 away from home in Europe:
▫️ “Tactical masterclass”
▫️ “Professional performance”
▫️ “Elite game management”
When Arsenal FC control games, defend well, and grind out results:
▫️ “Boring”
▫️ “Overcelebrating”
▫️ “Too emotional”
Meanwhile pundits like Jamie Carragher, Gabby Agbonlahor and John Obi Mikel are quick to criticise Arsenal players for passion and celebrations… but other elite clubs doing the exact same thing suddenly becomes “mentality” and “winning culture”.
PSG celebrated wildly after their result yesterday.
• No outrage.
• No endless debates.
• No “stay humble” lectures.
But when Arsenal celebrate a huge European night?
The media acts like football crimes were committed.
Maybe people just aren’t used to Arsenal being THIS good again.
Because the moment Arsenal became genuine contenders:
▫️ every celebration became a problem
▫️ every draw became a “bottle”
▫️ every setback became a crisis
Yet other clubs get protected by narratives.
Football media loves confidence… until Arsenal show it.
