…the final straw was the cancellation of third party apps; the Twitter website and app are horrible and even Tweetdeck is gone. Musk has killed this place and I am done here, certainly for the time being. I hope I get to see you all again, in a nicer and friendly environment.

I loved Twitter when it started, and I would proudly tell all in earshot that it would change the world and was the future of online conversations. I had a lot of fun, got to talk to a lot of interesting people and made some new friends.

Went to a 50th anniversary screening of #TheWickerMan tonight only to find over an hour of poorly shot shakycam interview footage from a celebration event in London preceded it - stuffed full of spoilers and plot reveals, with no warning. Terrible decision from @StudiocanalUK

This isn’t mentioned in my book - there was just too much other weirdness to fit in - but in 1990 Steven Seagal participated in a video called The Celebrity Guide To Wine. @Ryabolique @AndyLonsdale7 I’m as delighted to not be the source of the problem as I am horrified to learn there’s a problem in the first place. I think we’ve all experienced such issues at one point or another, but DocFest is too good an experience to let one arsehole ruin it for you.
