Trump and Republicans spent years screaming that Obama’s Iran deal was “appeasement.”
They called it weak. They called it dangerous. Ted Cruz called it “catastrophic” and ranted about cash going to Iran, claiming Obama had helped fund attacks on American service members.
Trump called the JCPOA one of the worst deals ever made, tore it up, and promised that only he could get something better.
So what did America get for all that chest-thumping?
A war Trump helped create.
A crisis Trump escalated.
A deal that looks a whole lot like paying Iran to accept the conditions Trump blew up in the first place.
Obama’s deal restricted Iran’s nuclear program, slashed its uranium stockpile by 98%, and capped enrichment.
Trump ripped that up, brought us chaos, and now wants applause for a framework that reportedly includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz, sanctions relief, and billions in frozen Iranian assets — while the hardest questions about Iran’s nuclear program are kicked down the road.
That is not strength nor strategy.
That is Trump “fixing” something he broke.
And where are the Republicans now?
Where is Ted Cruz’s outrage about “cash to Iran”? Where are the Fox News meltdowns? Where are the speeches about weakness, surrender, and rewarding the enemy?
Crickets.
Because when Obama used diplomacy to prevent war, they called it betrayal.
When Trump uses war to crawl back toward the status quo, they call it leadership.
That’s the hypocrisy.
Obama got a nuclear deal.
Trump got fourteen U.S. service members killed. Hundreds more injured. Families shattered. And for what?
This was never about principles. It was never about national security. It was barely even about Iran.
It was about Obama.
It was about Trump’s ego.
And now American troops and their families have paid the price.
107 days of war for nothing.

Rep. Brian Mast just accidentally revealed the biggest political risk in Trump's Iran deal.
He's arguing America came out ahead because Iran lost "$300-500 billion" worth of military assets and infrastructure.
Think about what that means.
For years Republicans attacked the Obama Iran deal as "paying Iran" through sanctions relief and access to its own frozen money.
Now they're defending a deal that reportedly includes sanctions waivers, access to frozen assets, renewed oil exports, and a 60-day nuclear framework... while simultaneously arguing the war was worth it because we destroyed hundreds of billions of dollars inside Iran.
That's a hell of a pivot.
If giving Iran access to a fraction of its own money was appeasement then, how is giving Iran sanctions relief after a war not the same basic logic, just with a much bigger body count and price tag?
And if this turns out to be only a temporary pause rather than a lasting settlement, they've already sold the public on "mission accomplished."
That's the trap.
The higher the victory lap today, the harder the fall if Iran rebuilds tomorrow.

Hey @Jim_Jordan and @freedomcaucus just checking in to see if the same idea applies? You wanted to see the side car agreement from Obama and opposed the money he gave Iran. How is that today?

Trump at the G7 Summit in Canada calls out Obama and Trudeau for kicking Russia out of the organization in 2014.
All Putin wants is for Russia to be respected and given a seat at the table in what he calls a “multi-polar world”. Instead, the West isolated Russia and turned Ukraine into a NATO proxy to fight Russia.
One could argue a soft/cold WW3 started in 2014. That was the moment the CIA/State Dept overthrew and took control of Ukraine, and the West completely isolated Russia.
Everything we are witnessing now stems from the catastrophic foreign policy decisions during the Obama regime.
FOLLOW ME, THE NEXT DROP WILL BE SHOCKING.

Reading what a traitor I am in my comments.
So, JUST TO BE FAIR..... let me get this straight.....
We taxpayers just blew $75 billion to attack Iran, UNPROVOKED, then dropped another $300 billion to REBUILD it, even though it didn't NEED rebuilding before we ATTACKED it, (unprovoked) all so we could "reopen" a Strait of Hormuz that was already OPEN before we ATTACKED Iran (unprovoked), wind up with $4 gas for NO REASON and I'M the bitch for pointing it OUT?
That's fair.
Sounds legit. 👌

In a shocking video statement alleging the Department of Justice is seeking pretext to indict him at Trump's behest, Gov. Gavin Newsom also addressed the White House’s open corruption at length, challenging the DOJ to act.
“If they really want to find corruption, look no further than 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,” Newsom stated, before rattling off a laundry list of executive branch double-dealings.
“Donald Trump is selling the presidency. He’s running the largest cash heist in American political history, trading foreign tariff relief for approval of his golf courses, day trading behind the Resolute desk, reaping hundreds of millions of dollars in personal profit.
“And he’s doing it openly. He’s doing it on camera. He did it last night on the White House lawn. He’s doing it through cryptocurrencies. He’s doing it through the receipt of a $400 million private jet from a foreign government that he plans to keep when he leaves office through his son’s ventures in countries where his own administration is simultaneously making policy. His personal fortune has skyrocketed by $4 billion since making his return to office,” he observed.
“This is the behavior of a regime, not a republic. The White House has become a marketplace,” Newsom continued. “A marketplace for sneakers and coins and watches, cologne, guitars, Bibles and phones, influence for sale, access for sale. And today, my family and I can personally confirm that justice is for sale.”
Newsom concluded: “This country does not belong to you. It does not belong to your cronies. And we’re going to fight your lawlessness. And we’re going to continue to remind the people of this country of your corruption. That same corruption our founders warned us against.
“Mr. President, come after me. I’m not going anywhere, and the country is watching.”

It takes a special kind of strategic incompetence to achieve total military dominance and still pathetically lose a war, yet that is exactly what Donald Trump did in Iran.
The US and Israel ruled the skies, hitting almost every target with virtually zero resistance and few aircraft losses.
Even so, the entire operation failed because Trump is a loudmouth fraud who was never actually ready to commit.
Before the war started, I wrote that Iran's best move would be to just to try to somehow survive the first wave, and call Trump's bluff, and that is exactly what they did. They realized early on that Trump's tough-guy routine was entirely hollow.
Airstrikes alone rarely force an aggressive regime to collapse. Trump ignored every historian and military advisor, charging ahead with Israel without a clear objective.
This was not a typical asymmetric victory like Ukraine's resistance against Russia, where the smaller nation wins by inflicting severe costs on the occupier. Iran's military performance was miserable. Their air defenses were a joke, and their retaliatory strikes achieved almost nothing.
They won the war of wits because survival was existential for them, while for Trump, it was a political stunt. They correctly gambled that the US had no stomach for a prolonged ground invasion.
They just had to absorb the hits and choke off global oil supplies in the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides held back some of their biggest moves, since Washington kept ground troops out of the fight and Tehran chose not to make the Houthis completely seal off Bab el Mandeb.
I have absolutely zero sympathy for the horrific Iranian regime. Trump deeply betrayed the people of Iran by waiting until their domestic uprisings were brutally crushed before launching his badly prepared operation.
He talked big and made sweeping demands, yet everyone knew he lacked the resolve to follow through. The upcoming peace deal will inevitably be far worse than the JCPOA he originally tore down.
This war exposed the hard limits of Trump's posturing. When an adversary stood their ground and called his bluff, the entire might of the US armed forces could not cover up his cowardice and stupidity

🚨 BOOM! President Trump is now publicly OBLITERATING Barack Hussein Obama trying to "BRIBE" Iran with CASH to no success
"$1.7 billion was taken out of the banks and given to Iran and on top of that tens of billions of dollars was spent. So they tried to bribe them to make a deal that didn't work. It never works!"
"And we've done a great job and hopefully it's going to be a good relationship and we're going to get along."
"And if we don't, we go back to where we started. I don't know if it's going to be necessary."
"The Iran deal that we made is going to bring a lot of success to the world because the oil was really clogged up there for a while."
