Sitting in this bloody chair for 8 hours waiting for the new car to arrive. I’ve nearly snapped my neck several times twitching to look out of the window whenever anything drives past. All while trying not to shit myself for the first time in 24 hours. Happy Friday!!

I have FINALLY found the thing that I can confiscate from my child that will get him to behave and not bugger off without notice. His shoes. All of them. In the boot of my car and car key in my hand. Checkmate.

@SameDayCoventry @HighwaysNEAST Why do you need lanes 3 and 4? In low traffic volumes, more traffic in lanes 1 and 2 will prevent snow build up in those lanes, keeping them open. If that same volume of traffic uses all 4 lanes, it’ll settle more.

@daveskupski You’re not wrong. Numerous drunks, mild ailments and some that could self-medicate with 29p Paracetamol. No criticism of any of the staff, more a criticism of this shitty society and their self-entitlement.

My parents (70yrs and 75yrs) spent 15, one-five, hours in York A&E last night, my dad breathless for the last 5 weeks, really struggling. Once seen, immediate nebuliser and admitted. Lung specialist on Monday. System broken but eventually got the care my dad needs. But 15 hours!!

Broken baby. Heart and mind, both broken.

It’s pleasing to know they are out there to keep me safe but it’s bedtime 🥱 😴

@daveskupski I agree about the driving standards but I couldn’t justify the huge cost, albeit we looked last minute. We’ll plan better next time and take 🍷 for the journey 😂

Visited the big smoke this week. Train was £175 for 2 people. Decided to drive and managed 68.8mpg. Mostly 70/75mph and some 53mph due to roadworks. £37 of diesel there and back. Yes, it was 4hrs each way instead of 2, but at that cost, why would anyone pay for the train?
