Mormon “prophets” are very, very different from Biblical prophets. Mormon prophets can secretly practice polygamy behind their wife’s back, marry already-married women, lie to their followers by denying their secret polygamy, teach false doctrines, and still remain “prophets” in the eyes of Mormons. Of course, if any early Christian Church leader had done any of those things, Mormons would consider that conclusive evidence of apostasy—because Mormons apply a double-standard to their leaders.
