Now that he has shown how hard he is willing to come down on those who challenge him, the Prime Minister is revoking the Emergency Act less than 48 hours after forcing a confidence vote and threatening an election, even though the protest had already been cleared.

I’d love to think the PM finally did the right thing because it was the right thing to do. But that’s never Justin Trudeau’s motivation. Regardless, I’m relieved for the people of Canada but disheartened by the damage done for the sake of politicking and legacy building. 1/
