@alliekmiller Right, this is why as a career software engineer, I now use AI tools for all my work. It is like choosing to cut wood with a hand saw versus a CNC machine. Tech minded folks like us will have no problem picking up our new AI tools. Other industries, however, will be shocked.

A sobering thought on the speed of AI: Something that took 50 eng, 4 PMs, and 1.5 designers 6-12mo to build in 2018/2019 can now be (mostly) done by two people in a few days. And I know this because I led the team in 2018. And a 2-person team just pitched me on it. Gulp.

@IOHK_Charles Trezor - T, supports Cardano. It might be worth mentioning that they are the only hardware wallet with verifiable source code for us Cardano supporters.

With respect to the Ledger controversy, I say the following: 1) always choose open source software whenever possible that has been audited by numerous sources on a regular basis 2) security comes from simplicity- Design the smallest possible footprint 3) non-updateable firmware is important when a company makes specific promises about their security model. Yubikey for example follows this concept support.yubico.com/hc/en-us/artic… while it would be difficult to replicate this idea for cryptocurrencies. Decentralizing the process of updates would greatly enhance security 4) people buy hardware wallets to maximize the personal security of their funds. They don't buy them for daily use or expect an equivalent user experience to hot wallets. 5) the hardware wallet space is the most extreme example of self custody. We could just as easily PGP encrypt some seeds and leave them in Gmail. We choose to use hardware wallets because they guarantee that the private keys stay in one place on hardware that's hard to tamper with 6) don't break social contracts

@profit8lue Said the same thing last cycle waiting for a crash to $2,200 which was double the previous ATH of $1,100. Instead, bitcoin broke past $6K to reach $14K on a "failed rally" off the bottom. So, in my opinion it is doing what it has always done; defy expectations.

#Bitcoin should have crashed to $10k before 2023 started. I still can't get over this. Something doesn't add up at all...

@elonmusk You are getting closer to the solution. Crypto wallets can be used to sign twitter statements. The larger the amount in that wallet the more weight it is given. Paid accts are fine for profits, but crypto signed tweets are unalterable and provide provable ownership to a wallet.

Given that modern AI can solve any “prove you’re not a robot” tests, it’s now trivial to spin up 100k human-like bots for less than a penny per account. Paid verification increases bot cost by ~10,000% & makes it much easier to identify bots by phone & CC clustering. Obvious conclusion: paid account social media will be the only social media that matters.

@benjamincowen Cardano feels like the right choice. With 4.5% annual yield on staking, it still has better returns than any bank I know. Of course, volitivity is a concern, but so is your bank closing its doors.
