ICYMI: The Center has released learnings from its Arkansas pilot study on eConsults. By enabling primary care providers to communicate electronically with specialists, eConsults have the potential to reduce spending in commercial populations without negatively impacting quality—improving the affordability and efficiency of the healthcare system. As part of our work to identify and scale strategies to manage healthcare costs and improve affordability, in 2021, the Center launched a pilot with @ArkBlueCross and @MathematicaNow to assess whether the positive impact of eConsults could be replicated in a commercially insured population.
