Iran shifts instance, says American bases are in the crosshairs
Following a series of attacks over the past 48 hours, targeting multiple tankers, coastal installations, and even fishing boats, Iran has decided to shift its position.
Hours ago, Iran was emphatic in stating: “Any attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s oil tankers or commercial vessels will trigger a heavy strike against one of the American bases in the region and enemy ships.”
Shortly thereafter, the message coming from the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force was:
“The Aerospace Force’s missiles and drones are locked onto the enemy, and we are awaiting the order to launch.”
Continuing this postural shift, the IRGC Media Channel announced:
“Iran holds total control over the depths of the Strait of Hormuz. No one should ignore that the security of the digital infrastructure in the region depends on the political stability that Iran guarantees. Our neighbors in the southern Gulf have built digital castles on glass foundations. While Iran has land routes, they depend entirely on cables passing through our maritime territory. The transit of data through Iranian territorial waters can no longer be free of charge. We are studying measures to regulate and tariff the flow of information crossing our underwater borders.”
And it clearly warned:
“If Iran’s energy veins are cut, the world’s information veins will not be safe. The world needs to understand that the flow of bits is as vital as the flow of oil.”
Despite the change in tone, Iran seems to maintain the tactic of sparing American warships, perhaps fearing that sinking these vessels could escalate the war by generating support among the American public for revenge, something outside the Iranian strategy, which increasingly aims to weaken the government.
Personally, I have my doubts whether this Iranian shift in tone will be enough to ensure their tankers are no longer attacked.
I see here a natural escalation and believe that Iran will have to rethink its position on sparing American ships. The US Navy will spare absolutely nothing flying the Iranian flag.

Udało mi się potwierdzić, że 3 amerykańskie niszczyciele rzeczywiście przepłynęły przez Cieśninę Ormuz do Zatoki Perskiej, uciekając z niej z powrotem zaledwie kilka dni później. Jedno muszę przyznać Amerykanom - myliłem się z wcześniejszymi ocenami, jednak nie są takimi pizdami - są za to jeszcze większymi idiotami, niż myślałem, bo wykonali 2 całkowicie samobójcze, niepotrzebne misje i nie wiem, jakim cudem udało im się wyjść z tego bez większych strat - Iran musi tutaj poprawić swoją grę. 3 maja jeszcze zanim oficjalnie ogłosili rozpoczęcie "Projektu Wolność" - czyli operacji która miała przywrócić ruch w Cieśninie Ormuz, Marynarka Wojenna IRGC wydała rozkaz ewakuacji statków "zaparkowanych" w pobliżu Ras Al Khaimah (na mapie koło zaznaczone na zielono). Później ogłosili też nowe linie "kontroli" nad Cieśniną Ormuz (2 linie na żółto). Musieli wiedzieć już wtedy że Amerykanie coś szykują, widzieli też zapewne nienaturalne przemieszczenia statków które wcześniej nie wpłynęły nawet przed linię własnej blokady. Następnie Amerykanie ogłosili oficjalnie "Projekt Wolność" który miał się rozpocząć 4 maja w godzinach porannych. Tak się stało - 3 amerykańskie niszczyciele są widoczne na zdjęciach satelitarnych, płyną w kierunku Cieśniny Ormuz (3 różowe statki po prawej na mapie). Skorzystali z wyznaczonego przez siebie "bezpiecznego przejścia" - to nic innego jak "Południowy Korytarz" - czyli wąska trasa przy wybrzeżu Omanu (pomarańczowa linia na mapie), która do tej pory była wykorzystywana głównie przez statki Omanu (mają port po drugiej stronie blokady Cieśniny Ormuz -czerwony kwadrat-) za zgodą Iranu. Następnie tego samego dnia te same 3 niszczyciele były widoczne po drugiej stronie (3 różowe statki po lewej) płynąc do portu Jebel Ali - ZEA. W tym czasie, 1 statek został ostrzelany w pobliżu Sirik, 1 emiracki tankowiec stanął w płomieniach wciskając się na chama przez "bezpieczny szlak" bez zgody Iranu, 1 statek który nie posłuchał rozkazu Iranu o ewakuacji z zielonej strefy również stanął w płomieniach, i 1 w pobliżu Dubaju oberwał niezidentyfikowanym obiektem latającym. Operacja amerykańska następnie zakończyła się po niecałych 2 dniach nie odnosząc żadnych rezultatów oprócz sprowadzenia niebezpieczeństwa na statki, rozszerzenia irańskiej kontroli nad Cieśniną Ormuz, spadających rakiet na ZEA i Oman. Pod osłoną nocy Amerykanie wydostali wczoraj 3 niszczyciele z Zatoki Perskiej co potwierdzają obie strony.

Rzeczywiście na zdjęciach satelitarnych z wczoraj widać grupę 3 amerykańskich niszczycieli zbliżających się do Południowego Korytarza Cieśniny Ormuz ze wschodniej strony cieśniny, na wodach międzynarodowych schowanych od strony zachodniej przed Iranem za zaparkowanymi statkami komercyjnymi. Na Południowym Korytarzu widać też emiracki statek z którego unosi się dym już po spotkaniu z irańskimi dronami czy tam rakietami. Co się nie zgadza to CENTCOM podał, że przepłynęły 2 niszczyciele - a gdzie w takim razie zniknął ten 3? Zawrócił? Poza tym nie wiemy, czy pozostałe 2 w ogóle przepłynęły Cieśninę, CENTCOM wielokrotnie kłamał.

Your previous post implies the F-16 is just better at long range than an F-4 and equal at close range

Remember on April 3rd when an American F-16CJ Falcon was squawking 7700?
He was engaged in a dogfight with an IRIAF F-4. The F-4 Phantom likely damaged the F-16 (whose fate has never been reported).
Now images are circulating on Iranian channels showing the Phantom after it made a hard landing in an Iranian base due to pressure on the hydraulic system.

@konsumensch @david_vodus @TheGlaz666 @AryJeayBackup Its a hard to believe claim to say that an aircraft with no helmet mounted display or off boresight missiles and much worse maneuverability in a dogfight would be capable of getting into a dogfight and escaping after scoring a hit, and there's no evidence presented.

Either Iran asserts itself for real, or it will be morally consumed
In recent days, American destroyers have begun transiting through Hormuz using a narrow route in Omani waters, putting the entire Iranian strategy under pressure.
Furthermore, these vessels have taken up positions in an attempt to guarantee the safety of ships trying to cross the strait.
Iran maintained its policy of blocking commercial ship transit, but by accepting the agreement for the presence of American military vessels, Tehran demonstrated fragility.
This hesitation even cost them two passenger transport vessels, targeted by the United States as propaganda targets.
Days after Iran swallowed the presence of American ships and the destruction of its civilian vessels, the outcome was predictable: today, after Iran targeted commercial ships attempting to break the blockade, those same destroyers launched attacks against ports and other Iranian positions in the strait.
The Iranian response was timid, targeting commercial ships but clearly sparing the American destroyers.
