@davidbartlett1 I think surely someone will realise the mad precedent they've set with setting such a high bar though. 10 point deduction for the sake of £19.5m (at worst) just seems strange

I’ve read the Premier League Commission on the Everton 10-point deduction. As an Evertonian it’s not exactly a fun read, but here’s my take 🧵

@Adam_Jones94 I really hope it gets reduced. Punishment does not seem proportional, rather higher to send a message.

@davidbartlett1 Perfectly put. I think the punishment gets reduced on appeal, but you can't get away from the continued gross mismanagement that led to this situation. It's just a shame that it's the players and fans being held to account by the punishment right now rather than those responsible

A precedent has been set, that will have long reaching ramifications. Where we go from here as fans is to be totally behind the players and the manager. COYB.

The irresponsible way the club has been run has come back to haunt us. That said very little credit is given to Everton for trying to be more fiscally responsible the last couple of years. PL view seems to be too little too late and they threw the book at the club.
