20 CIVILIANS MURDERED BY IRANIAN MISSILES. 4 Palestinian women. A pregnant Filipina caregiver. A 102-year-old man. A mother and her son. 3 teenage siblings. A couple in their 70s… Over the past three weeks, the regime in Iran has killed Jews, Muslims, and Christians in Israel. The elderly, children, families. Not a single soldier. Not a single government official. Every day, their cluster bombs are aimed at civilians, and it’s always the most vulnerable who pay the price.

Democrats who are touting a MAGA, Jan 6 apologist who has ties to the Proud Boys because he also believes in a conspiracy theory where Israel controls Trump are not making the point about country over party that they think they are.

Between the sirens and missile fire still hitting Israel and across the Gulf, it is hard to step back and see the bigger picture. But from a purely military perspective, the campaign against Iran is one of the most successful operations Israel has waged since its founding nearly 80 years ago. Iran is a country 2,000 kilometers away and two weeks into this, the IAF continues to retain air supremacy, with and fly over Tehran the same way it flies over Tel Aviv. The regime’s top military leadership has been dismantled. Key parts of Iran’s defense-industrial base are being systematically destroyed - not just ballistic missiles and launchers, but the entire production chain behind them. Factories that produce centrifuges for uranium enrichment have been hit. Facilities connected to weapons testing have been struck. Secretive sites tied to the nuclear program have been targeted. And in the new phase of the war that began a few days ago, Israel - together with the US - is striking the regime’s repression apparatus: the tools used by the Basij and the IRGC to brutally crush protesters who took to the streets earlier this year. The idea is simple: make it harder for the regime to suppress its own people if they rise again. Which is why this war cannot be judged only by the narrow question of regime change, or whether Iran will eventually rebuild its missile program. Of course Iran will try to rebuild and of course it will want to rebuild. But the more important reality is this: the greatest enemy Israel has faced over the last half-century has suffered its most severe strategic defeat. Iran is dramatically weaker today than it was just weeks ago. In the IDF, the assessment is that it will take years to rebuild key components of its military and nuclear infrastructure. Its ability to threaten Israel and project power across the region has been significantly diminished. And the deterrence of Israel and the United States has been re-established in a way that, just weeks ago, seemed almost unimaginable.

Do most #Democrats hope that the #IranUSWar fails to remove the Iranian nuclear threat and/or regime change so @Trump will look bad, or hope it succeeds in its goals? Serious question.

The astonishing thing about Sen. Sanders isn't that he's become a full-fledged anti-Israel bigot. That's par for the course. An ideological world in which hating Israelis is definitional. What's amazing is that his Third-Worldism now pits him against most Iranians and Lebanese.
Bernie Sanders@BernieSanders

It’s not just Iran. It’s Lebanon. In less than 2 weeks, Israel has killed 570 people and displaced 750,000 — over 10% of the entire country. Residential buildings are being bombed with no warning. The U.S. cannot continue to be complicit in Netanyahu’s wars.

@davidbjpost @m_millsey Of course I can. That was terrible and really did nothing but damage to Palestinians. But do you expect a people to do nothing when they’re being systematically erased by a hostile government? And then Israel to go on to kill 73,000 mostly innocent Palestinians.

@appolman8 @m_millsey 2. Over half of the casualties in the Gaza war started by Hamas were Hamas members ie terrorists. Many of the 200 plus hostages were held and starved by 'innocent' Gazans. War is hell and the Palestinians could have ended it at any time and saved all that suffering on both sides

@appolman8 @m_millsey 1. In 1967, when the Arab world tried to destroy Israel, there were 900,000 Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, ruled over by Jordan and Egypt. On the eve of October 7, 2023, there were 5.4 million Palestinians there. Evidently Israel did a poor job at annihilating them.

@davidbjpost @m_millsey This situation didn’t start on October 7th. Israel has been committed to annihilating the Palestinians since its inception. Of course the Palestinians will resist.
