Tucker following Buckley here with Russiagate 2.0: the idea that our billionaire real estate magnate turned President is secretly under the thumb of a foreign nation. Honestly, Russiagate, the farce that it was, had more meat behind it than Tuck and Buck's theory. Democrats could at least point to things like Trump Jr. meeting at Trump tower with the crazy Magnitsky Act woman. Tucker's theory is just completely devoid of evidence: "Trump is doing things that don't make sense to me, despite me pleading with him, that means he must be acting under duress." It's a 19-year-old pothead's way of viewing the world. Tucker's view is because Trump doesn't treat Israel like a vassal state that he must be their vassal instead. The reality is just much more simple. We are partners. We are the senior partner, they are the junior partner, and for the most part we have the wheel. But it's 2026, not 1967, and our junior partner has a ton of independent military capability (the second most capable Air Force in the world!) and could, if it absolutely had to, go it alone. It doesn't want to, and the Israelis are very grateful for Trump's actions and the American alliance more generally, so they generally accede to Trump's requests, but they aren't a vassal either. It's not that Israel has anything on Trump. It's that Israel is actually a very powerful country in conventional terms, with a highly capable military and a powerhouse economy that is strategically super important to American interests. But Tucker apparently hasn't picked up a book about Israel in a few decades, is operating on 1980s' conventional wisdom about their capabilities, and thus is constantly surprised about Israeli and American decision making. And the only way he can make sense of it is an obviously retarded conspiracy theory that takes roughly thirty seconds to dismantle if you just ask a few decent questions (see my interrogation of Buckley earlier this week).

US - 469 military incursions into other countries since 1798. (per the Congressional Research Service) Iran - Near zero offensive actions in 200 years. Now who exactly is the leading terrorist state?
Ajamu Baraka@ajamubaraka

Folks, lets put in an end to this nonsense about Iran being the world's leading sponsor of terrorism when everyone knows U.S. & Israel, both fascist states, both engaged in global state violence that has resulted in millions of deaths are the leading global terrorist states.

@hannahkrieg @print2cell This is the dumbest comment I’ve seen in a few days. Good job. The 8 people are representing all of the other business owners and job creators that are either moving away and taking the jobs and money with them to other states.

It took a lawsuit to get WA Dept of Ecology to release the (legally required) CO2 emissions report, and now we know why. From Todd Myers at WPC: "The report shows Washington’s climate policies are not working. Every sector saw GHGs increase except electricity and that was thanks primarily to an increase in hydropower due to high snowpack. We will not hit our 2030 targets. We would have to reduce emissions by the equivalent of one COVID-scale emissions reduction every other year between 2024 and 2030." To add insult to injury, Ecology is trying to gaslight us all (pun intended) into thinking the BILLIONS of dollars extra we are being taxed for 'climate change' is working. It is not. Repeal the CCA. @WAPolicyGreen | @WAPolicyCenter 'Political spin in state's new CO2 emissions reports masks climate policy failure' Article: washingtonpolicy.org/publications/d…

@future42org @mrandystevens It’s a wonderful idea to close the park early. Let’s kick out all the law abiding citizens and clear it out for the worst of the worst. Forget policing. Who needs it.

For the 6th year in a row...Alki Beach, Seattle will be closing early for the rest of the year due to gangs, gun violence, street racing, and rowdy behavior. On top of that, the city just installed new street lights to try and tamp down the burglaries at local businesses. Neighbors are saying its "not enough", and are now demanding law enforcement patrols. (Folks; we don't have to live this way) @clairecweber | @komonews 'Residents around Seattle beach push for patrols to curb violent crime as summer season approaches' Article: komonews.com/news/local/alk…

It was high fuel costs that was the final death knell for Spirit -- caused by a pointless war that has left everyone worse off.
Yogi@Houseofyogi

Spirit Airlines died tonight at the hands of the socialist crusader, Elizabeth Warren She must be so proud to add another casket to her achievements. Tonight at 3am, Spirit turns off the lights. 14,000 jobs gone. 30+ smaller airports lose service. JetBlue offered $3.8 BILLION in cash to buy Spirit in 2022. Shareholders, flight attendants union, literally everyone voted yes. The combined company would have held 9% of the US market against a Big 4 that already owned 80%. For anyone who understands numbers: 9% isn’t a monopoly against 80%. Warren said no. She wrote letters. She pressured Buttigieg. Biden’s DOJ sued. A federal judge killed the deal in January 2024. Her argument: the merger would cost consumers $1 billion a year. Now look at her collateral damage she dusts under the rug. 510 pilots gone in the months after. 1,800 flight attendants furloughed in December. 14,000 jobs in 2023. 7,500 last week. Zero tonight. And that’s just the people in Spirit uniforms. Catering goes. Fuel guys go. Baggage crews, gate agents, airport coffee shops, hotels and rental cars in 70 cities Spirit flew to. Every airline job carries 3 more on its back. 40,000 people out of work because of one woman’s moronic crusade against the market. And the math ain’t mathing. Spirit abandoned 90 routes during the death spiral. Fares on those routes are up 14% on average. Oakland to Newark: $135 to $288. Fort Myers to San Juan: $92 to $219. Kansas City to Newark up 66%. That’s reality. Not some BS number from a “study.” So @SenWarren tell me how this saves the consumer money? Cheap carriers in a market drop fares 21% across the board. Southwest did this in the 90s and saved Americans $68 BILLION over 20 years. Warren killed it. That’s what moronic politicians led by socialism do. Then with her own blind arrogance, she tweeted Spirit’s collapse is “a Biden win for flyers.” A win. 14,000 people are reading termination letters tonight. And she’s taking credit. This is socialism in 2026. A senator who’s never made payroll thinks she knows how to run a market better than the people who own and work in the company. She saved you a billion on imaginary paper. She cost you ten times that in real life. She didn’t protect consumers from anything. 14,000+ will go from working to welfare. She will make sure to blame billionaires, hardworking tax payers, AI, capitalism and whatever monster they will make up tomorrow hiding under your bed. Higher taxes. Fewer jobs. More expensive everything. She called it a win. I hope you enjoy winning.

Spiking fuel prices from Trump’s war was the nail in the coffin for twice-bankrupted Spirit airline. FWIW, JetBlue merger failed because a judge, appointed by Ronald Reagan, said the deal was illegal. Republicans are desperate to shift blame from higher costs hitting families.
