@_LeeBrooks The hospitals are using the ambulance service to mitigate the risks in ED. A chest pain pt sitting in an ED corridor is at far less risk than a chest pain patient waiting 4 hrs for an ambulance. Balancing risk should start at the 999 call, not at hospital arrival.

A ‘better’ start this morning; delays of 8 hours at both ends of the country for patients to move from the ambulance to the emergency department. It means ambulances have not responded to patients all night and the crews likely attended a single patient in their shift. Pic: HSIB

Ok, so if people measure the success of what they are doing by observed or direct feedback (eg people getting better, getting a well done), how do we apply that to scene management? What feedback do commanders get that they can work on to see if they are right or need to change?
