When @google launched Google Ads, they didn't intend to have a massive partner ecosystem; they thought businesses would buy media themselves. This didn't happen and there are now millions of SEM marketers (of varying quality)

The reality is this taught me to build my business and plan based on these trends as opposed to trying to fight against them.
