Every year an estimated £200bn in wealth is extracted from Scotland - we receive £50bn back and are told we have a deficit & to be grateful. Colonialism has to stop.

-Trade interception: the English coloniser has closed/destroyed/neglected Scottish ports forcing Scottish products to go through his ports + logistics control + this brings control of supply...same for airports, no national airline comparable to other countries -Resource theft: oil & gas, wind/electricity, water, etc. -Deliberate desindustrialisation like the closing of Grangemouth refinery to steal the value created there -Cultural theft: control of estates, festivals, tourism, state media production funds allocation with Scotland getting far less than what it pays, etc. The whole creative economy is infiltrated by collaborators/colonisers/intelligence operatives to control the discourse on Scotland and steal Scottish wealth based on its creativity and culture. Etc etc it's infinite since it's a colonial scheme. And then the English colonial state gives back a small grant saying Scottish is poor and needs it. This is what colonisers always do. Scotland has the largest resources overall in Europe and has superb economic potential but is poor compared to Norway, Ireland etc. + a powerful diaspora. It makes absolutely no sense economically unless you understand it's due to English colonialism.

As much as I enjoyed my time in Türkiye, exploring its rich history, being hosted by its hospitable people, tasting its lovely food and witnessing its amazing architecture As a Muslim, I have to be objective I was saddened to see so many graves within the boundaries of mosques. I visited suleimaniye mosque as part of my tour of Istanbul and upon entering was going to pray Tahiyyatul masjid, but right outside the window next to the mimbar you can see dozens and dozens of graves and mausoleums so big they could be mistaken for masajid themselves I was saddened to see practices in the masajid that are not upon the Quran and sunnah People hanging up 🧿 amulets in their shops or outside their flats believing it’ll keep them safe Others trying to sell key rings or plaques with ayaat written on them, stating that these talismans will protect us and ward off evil I was saddened that at night the masajid would be closed so you could not do itikaf overnight; but if you wanted to drink and dance with women, then bars/clubs were open And it was sad seeing how secularised and liberal many Turks have become Those who don’t fast Those who don’t pray Those who are what you would call “culturally Muslim” They are not a small minority, trading their Muslim heritage for western hedonism and values in the name of “progress” Allah’s aid is sought One particularly sad event I was in a famous mosque, Fajr prayer was done and the sun had not long risen, A few metres behind me, a woman removed her hijab whilst she was inside the mosque Note that this was outside of tourist visiting hours I assumed it was because she was adjusting it A few minutes go by and she’s still got her hair out. So I politely ask her to cover her hair A few more minutes go by and she’s still got her hair out, so I go to her and ask her again to cover her hair as this is a mosque and it’s about showing respect It is well known even amongst non Muslim tourists that women should cover their hair when visiting mosques But She gives me a dirty look, kisses her teeth in arrogance and (in Turkish) says “I know I know, you said it already” in a mocking tone The lack of respect was astounding Not for me Not even for herself But for Allah, IN A MOSQUE Was very sad to see Even some of the Turkish brothers I met in the mosques would lament the state of Islam and Muslims in the country May Allah guide the people and rulers of our nations, protect us from shirk and innovation and enable us to stand for and spread tawheed for Allah’s sake alone

@IghoThony @NoushardMUFC Alleged rapists don't get second chances here, anything sexually related does not get a second chance, this is British culture where violence against women is one of the worst sins to any moral British man, whether she chose to take him back does not change what he was capable of

The difference between many UK-based fans and many African fans on the issue of MASON GREENWOOD potentially returning to Manchester United revealed a deeper divide in perspective. First, this needs to be clear: sexual assault and abuse are serious issues everywhere. No one should excuse or normalize them, and the concerns people raised when the allegations surfaced were completely understandable. But many African fans who spoke about reintegrating Greenwood were not doing so because they support abuse or violence against women. That interpretation misses an important part of the context. In many parts of Africa, a lot of people grow up witnessing extremely difficult realities — domestic conflicts, gender-based violence in communities, poverty, illness, and other forms of hardship. Many people have seen situations where families deal with serious issues privately, reconcile, and continue life together. It doesn’t mean the actions were right; it means people often view resolution and moving forward differently. In Greenwood’s case, the two people involved later reconciled, remained together, started a family, and got married. For many African fans, that outcome shaped how they viewed the situation. To them, it looked like a private matter that the individuals involved had chosen to resolve. For many UK fans, however, the perspective was very different. The seriousness of the allegations and the evidence that circulated made it feel impossible to separate the player from the accusations, regardless of what happened later. Both reactions largely come from the environments people grew up in and the values shaped by those experiences. This isn’t about saying one side cares about abuse and the other doesn’t. It’s about understanding that people interpret situations through different social realities. Football debates often become hostile, but sometimes the divide isn’t hatred — it’s perspective.

@jakmak1943 @UnityNewsNet There is nothing about Rachel Reeves to commend, the money that is being squandered by this govt and previous is outrageous. No commendation for any of the political establishment, they're a set of incompetent charlatans.

Rachel Reeves has refused to sign off on a long-delayed £1bn military helicopters contract, in a shock move expected to put thousands of British jobs at risk. Treasury officials are understood to have made clear in a call with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Friday that they would not approve funding for the £1bn new medium helicopters (NMH) programme until the MoD’s wider equipment plan was settled.

The President of Slovakia is furious. After hosting 180,000 Ukrainians, this is the 2nd time Ukraine has cut oil supplies, costing Slovakia €500 million. Slovakia says Ukraine is stalling for political reasons & if the oil doesn’t flow by Monday he’ll cut electricity to Ukraine.
Robert Fico 🇸🇰@RobertFicoSVK

IF THE UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT DOES NOT RESUME OIL SUPPLIES TO SLOVAKIA ON MONDAY, ON THAT SAME DAY I WILL ASK THE RELEVANT SLOVAK COMPANIES TO STOP EMERGENCY ELECTRICITY SUPPLIES TO UKRAINE. Since the beginning of the war, Slovakia has been helping Ukraine. Around 180,000 Ukrainians are currently on our territory, we provide humanitarian assistance, and we organize joint government meetings. We are doing substantially more for Ukraine than some other countries. The Ukrainian president refuses to understand our peace-oriented approach and, because we do not support the war, he is behaving maliciously toward Slovakia. First, he halted gas flows to Slovakia, causing us damages of €500 million per year. Now he has stopped oil flows, causing us further losses and logistical difficulties. If the West does not mind that the Nord Stream gas pipeline was blown up, Slovakia cannot accept Slovak-Ukrainian relations as a one-way ticket benefiting only Ukraine. Slovakia is a proud and sovereign country, and I am a proud and sovereign Slovak. If oil supplies to Slovakia are not resumed on Monday, I will ask SEPS, the state-owned joint-stock company, to stop emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine. In January 2026 alone, these emergency supplies, needed to stabilize the Ukrainian energy grid, were required twice as much as during the entire year of 2025. Given President Zelensky’s unacceptable behavior toward Slovakia, treating it as a hostile country, I consider it absolutely correct that I refused to involve the Slovak Republic in the latest €90 billion military loan for Ukraine.

@FelonSkunk37088 @FeldsparElodie @newstart_2024 Is throwing a net hunting or gathering? North Sentinel Island is definitely in the stone age, the Amazon tribes aren't out there smelting iron ore, actual predatorial hunting is done by males in all tribes, fishing is not hunting.

@davidjdenton @FeldsparElodie @newstart_2024 There are very few primitive tribes left in the world and NONE live in the Stone Age. However, even there it is untrue. African Pygmys & many Amazon tribes have women hunters. Female Pygmys in fact do most of the hunting, by nets. Females provide many/most calories to tribes.

Dr. Erica Komisar just said what many parents whisper but few say out loud: Modern schools are built for girls, not boys—and we’re paying a steep price. Little boys (ages 3–6) surge with testosterone. They need to run, jump, play, burn energy. Instead, we sit them in circle time, demand emotional regulation, and label normal boy behavior as ADHD or “behavioral problems.” Result? Marginalized, stressed, diagnosed early, and tracked that way through school. Her fix if she ran the world: Separate boys and girls in the early years. Boys get multiple recess periods, short focused bursts, and space to move. Girls get a calmer environment where they feel safe taking STEM/math risks. Both thrive when not forced into the opposite gender’s learning style. Single-gender early education: Boys try art/music without teasing. Girls try science without self-consciousness. Evidence already shows it works. Parents/teachers: Do you see boys struggling more in today’s classrooms—or is this overblown? What’s one change you’d make to education for boys right now?

@FeldsparElodie @newstart_2024 This is the fairy tale you tell yourself. Anthropology tells us that women were hunters as well as gatherers. Little girls didn't sit around cooking & gossiping with the girls. Stop getting your knowledge of prehistory from the Flintstones, dummy.

Carragher and the like are gatekeepers though. It's why AFCON gets shoved away on the Channel 4 app, matches have zero build up or post-match analysis until the QF's & single commentator matches are normal. Detractors need to be publicly rubbished for adequate investment..
🌍@underIineoasl

Letting Carragher influence your view of AFCON is just low racial self esteem loool who gives a shit what they think. It’s always been one of the greatest tournaments for those who know

@davidjdenton @AnyzZdenek @FiveHeadClub @BowTiedRanger Now UK economy is declining bcz you can't loot other countries like you did earlier. India's growth was/is not by looting others. Read about Bengal famine by Britishers. You should be ashamed for killing innocent people. But instead you talk on human rights. what a hypocrisy

@AnyzZdenek @FiveHeadClub @BowTiedRanger History is the point to remember so it doesn't repeat. That's why I mentioned about Britishers loot as we don't want it to be repeated but you took it as blame. As other countries we also have our own problems & we are dealing and improving it but generalizing each Indian is bad.
