Today, as a student of history, I keenly followed the powerful moment when President William Ruto was warmly welcomed by Bernice King, the daughter of Martin Luther King Jr., at the historic Martin Luther King Center in Atlanta. President Ruto laid a wreath at the center to honor the legacy of one of the most iconic civil rights activists who devoted his life to the pursuit of a just and equitable society.
The King Center and Mausoleum, established by Coretta Scott King, the wife of Martin Luther King Jr., was created to reflect years of dedication to community, cultural, and socio-economic progress, rooted in the philosophy of non-violent social change developed by her husband.
As we reflect on the 60 years of U.S-Kenya diplomatic and people ties, we must look back and recognize the pivotal role played by civil rights activists like King in advocating for the independence of Kenya and the African continent. Also the efforts towards empowering the African people to enable them navigate the challenges of the time, and chat a path to freedom and prosperity. We also remember King for championing the equal rights of all individuals irrespective of their race, underscoring the belief that all human beings are equal, and thay they are endowed by God the creator, with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness
This commemoration serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring impact of his advocacy and the ongoing pursuit of equality for all.
It is my hope that President Ruto’s visit to the Martin Luther King Center will provide him an opportunity to reflect on what it means to fight for the oppressed, and always stand for the fundamental principles that King believed in and paid the ultimate price for.

Hosted four-year old Tinsley Nduta, a pupil at Lizzie Wanyoike Preparatory School who became a social media sensation after expressing her reluctance about school reopening. She had a change of heart following a persuasive phone conversation I had with her last week.
Accompanied by her mother Agnes Wairimu, father George Ngugi and sister Maureen Wambeti to State House, Nairobi, I emphasised the critical role of education in shaping young minds and preparing them for productive roles in society.

@Itumbi_Denis The government shouldn't be shy to borrow for what is necessary provided the money is going to be used for what it is targeted for . As it borrows , it should give incentives to producers of goods and services to increase their capacity by reducing the cost of doing biz

TWICE, my cars have been hit PROPERLY from behind. The first car was hit by a lorry and folded like chapati dunga. Luckily the truck owner has a garage in Kitengela and they repaired the whole car to a better condition than before.
The second one I was hit by an old man right at the gate of Industrial Area Poloce Station. I was with MW. The old man must have slept on the wheels. It was repaired by Kenyan Alliance.
The third accident was a straight head on collision with a junk in Kitengela town outside 411. The car was writen-off and paid in two months by same Insurance.
In the three accidents I can't remember ever getting even slightly worked up. I would just come out cLmly, and talk to the other driver to understand what the problem was and if he is fine. Ok I never saw the driver in the third accident till today. He jumped out and ran.
I don't know why people worship their cars so much to a point of even drawing guns over a simple accident. Unless you have very very small brains you don't get worked up because of a car. There are several things you need to ask yourself and remember.
Noone comes to the road to cause an accident even the drunk one. A vehicle is just a machine that is way less valuable than life. The reason you insure cars is for the insurer to sort out those things and they do. There are courts that will deal with any disputes.
I would like to see how extensively that DJ's car was damaged. Probably just a dented bumper yenye ingetengenezwa River Road by Onyango in 15 minutes. Now see. The car which was the real victim is still free when the 4 are in custody.
Men, your car is not your small god. Its just a car. Unless you have other underlying problem which anyway, will be sorted out in Kamiti.

@OleItumbi @RailaOdinga @WilliamsRuto I would love to see Baba as the AU chair, but he has daunting challenges ahead of him . 1st, the question of qualifications. 2nd ,he has never accepted defeat, and he even tried to swear himself as president, which is against the principles of democracy.
English

President Kibaki, in his 2nd term, had a handshake with @RailaOdinga - he became PM. (WsR was the man at the Serena talks). President Uhuru, in his 2nd term, had a handshake made @RailaOdinga a FAILED Presidential candidate. In his FIRST term, @WilliamsRuto is making @RailaOdinga the President of Presidents! WITHOUT a handshake! WsR does not like being praised for what he considers doing right, but on this one, I must TWEET for the record, GENIUS Move!
