@jerrynixon @upside This is likely preferable for companies as they don't have to account for the financial liability of the outstanding credits on loyalty cards or gift vouchers.

@jerrynixon @upside My guess would be that it's a form of ad revenue sharing, they make deals with companies that are eligible for cashback, they send footfall to those companies, then they share the revenue which would normally have been an ad expense for the company.
