@nataliemj10 My question would be whether the original story, complete or incomplete quote, was about rural food deserts or building a narrative about inflation. I appreciate your defense of rural folks but I don’t think that’s is what this is all about in this instance.

Oh c’mon. The story is not about rural food deserts. It explicitly talks about people driving hours to save absurdly small amounts of money on bread as part of an inflation narrative. If they were driving two hours for -all of their groceries- then why didn’t they say that?

Earlier in my career I did some research work for health experts and a lot of it had to do with vaccines. A key thing to me was that they had changed the value of the life of a child. We stopped just expecting a certain number of children to die from seasonal maladies. Miracle.
