Younger me would’ve laughed and moved on. Last Week, I completed Half Marathon at the Vadodara International Marathon. Was it fast? No. Was it perfect? Definitely not. But I finished, and that’s something I’m genuinely proud of. This change didn’t happen overnight. There was no sudden motivation or quick fix. It took 15 months of small, unglamorous effort. Some days I ran a little. Some days I just walked. Some days the hardest part was fighting my own excuses. Over time, those ordinary days added up. Today, I weigh 77 kg. More than the weight loss, I’ve gained trust in myself. I now know that if I stay consistent, even when it’s boring or uncomfortable, things do change. This medal isn’t really about running. Carrying an unspoken belief that the world owes him something. Brilliant on paper. But unwilling to bleed for the work. Uncomfortable with discomfort. More entitled than hungry. And then there’s the second kind. A 19-year-old from a small village called Gurdaspur. No brand-name degree. No safety net. Still yet to graduate. But he built his own company. Works with multiple crypto projects. And quietly scaled a $600K revenue business through pure execution. No noise. No entitlement. Just fire. I’ve met others like him too. Always hustling. Always available. Always trying to prove, not tell, the world that they belong. No excuses. No fixed hours. Just relentless momentum. This is the Gen Z I want to work with. The ones who feel the world owes them nothing. The ones who show up every single day, regardless. The ones who understand that progress is rented, and the rent is due daily. When we hire, we back people who take responsibility, move without permission, and refuse to quit. AI will replace many tasks. Automation will outperform humans in many workflows. But no AI can replace human hunger. No model can replicate resilience earned through scarcity. And no system can outwork someone who simply refuses to quit. The future won’t be built by entitlement. It will be built by people who stay hungry when no one is watching. That’s the Gen Z I believe in. And that’s the Gen Z we choose to build with.
