He never said that… if he had had a problem with it he could have paid for his own flight on a private plane… the point is, if you value the guy you’re signing and paying 2 first round draft picks for and are the GM of an organization with minimal amount of class, you get the flight for him and greet him at your headquarters when he arrives. I’m sure Kenneth Walker didn’t have to ask the Chiefs for a private jet… which shows you why the Chiefs are winning SBs with their league MVP and the a Ravens are missing the playoffs with theirs… The small things say a lot about an organization…

Maxx Crosby said the Ravens flew him first class to DC because there weren’t many direct flights to Baltimore. Don’t try to paint some narrative that he was some diva that demanded a private jet.

@davidnayan I was excited to have Maxx. Hell, Lamar was more excited than anyone. He's the one who started cryptic tweeting to let us know that something big was happening. We haven't heard from him since.

This is all I was saying the entire time. I love my team, but I can't just blindly defend everything they do. I believe in treating others as I'd want to be treated and I can understand where the man was coming from with his anger over the situation. On a human level.

You’re right… everyone thinks the Bears was an overnight success. But it took them two years to get the QB ready and in the third year they had the coach and the O-line. Solid teams take time and good drafts to build. That’s why all the FA contracts were 3 year deals. By year 4, the majority of the team will be home grown and not expensive FA.

They had the chance to do all the due diligence before getting into the trade and they used medical reasons as an excuse to get out of the trade because they could get Hendrickson cheaper than they had expected… But no one with a brain has any doubt that if another team had picked up Hendrickson, Maxx would be a Raven right now.

"I didn't see [EDC] for five hours." - He said the energy was off when he finally met Minter and EDC, who informed him that one of the doctors had concerns w/ his knee and was going to get more opinions. - When Crosby went back to the hotel, his agents told him that they think Baltimore will back out of the deal. - A member from the Ravens called Crosby and said they were going to get the deal done. Hendrickson was the top FA at DE and while he’s an excellent pass rusher his run stats don’t come close… no one else on the market this year offers what Maxx does on the field and off.

I really thought this whole Crosby and Ravens saga was over. Honestly felt bad for Maxx after the trade fell through and how it happened. But now that he’s dragging this thing out in the media I really don’t feel bad at all. You say you’re happy to be a Raider and want to finish your career there, so stop playing victim and move on.

Could be, but he screwed up free agency for the whole NFL basically… many signings and trades would have been different if Maxx had still been available for or gotten traded somewhere else. I’m sorry, but “taken a chance” is a ridiculous statement here… Maxx is going to be haunting the league for years to come. The only thing that changed from the moment he agreed to the trade until the moment he backed out of it was being able to get Hendrickson for much cheaper than expected. I get that he values his picks… but the reality is he used an excuse to get out of an agreement and didn’t keep his word. It looks terrible, and it will probably come back to haunt him when they fail to get to the SB again… Truth is, they’ve had a terrible FA and will have a tough season… he may be out of a job soon anyway as it is. If I was the owner I wouldn’t respect him, even if I was the one who told him to get out of the trade…
