Thought about going to see the Lindisfarne Gospels in Newcastle at the weekend and remembered this from a former local university vice chancellor. A classic piece of place based leadership.

@euyarra @infyde I worked with Jaime back in the early 90s. He was a lovely man, always with a smile, and very knowledgeable. I'm really sorry to hear he has passed. My condolences to all who knew him.

I will always remember his great conversation, sense of humour and charisma. My thoughts are with his family and all the great colleagues in @infyde.

@SomeAreDead In Australia they're actively moving away from solar because they get too much input during the day and can't manage it - so they turn the input off. It's ok at night tho. Green energy is currently a con. You don't know this? I thought people would be more switched on by now.

Can someone tell me why my 100% green energy electric contract has gone up so much? There’s a guarantee it uses no gas or coal in its production. Surely therefore technically it is costing no more to produce than a year ago

@stephenkb Interesting to see that Tom leaves out Newcastle in his map. It kind of reinforces a Northumbrian perspective that even the Northern Powerhouse often forgets about us. But then we are a lot further North!
