If we stay in tribes and narrow lanes, we'll be here in 5 years having learned nothing. It's time Britain had a series of national debates about who we are, where we are, what we want to be and how we get there. Nobody left behind, no one. That means less name calling ( we've all done it), and more shaking hands with our political opposites. We don't have to agree, but we can avoid the slow motion car crash that is the Americanisation of our politics and its consequences.
