Circling back to my original point, if the argument is that this editor/board has proved untrustworthy in its treatment of beats, news, and/or journalists, then you probably never would have heard from me. At face value, the concept of using AI in the way described in what you shared *could* be effective. Certainly also possible that it's deployed poorly and that current Cleveland.com leadership isn't the right steward.
My concern, of course, isn't specific to Cleveland. It's that others latch on to your original words and blindly treat AI incorporation as evil in practicing journalism. The usage -- in some form(s) -- is inevitable, and potentially beneficial to both journalists and readers. That's why it's important for those of us who care about journalism to dig into the specifics of how AI should and should not be used.

For those wondering why some of us on the left are so opposed to allowing political arsonists like Hasan and his ilk into the tent, the replies to this thread agreeing with Hasan is a perfect explanation as to why we think that.
They'd rather hand this country over to people like JD Vance and Peter Thiel who's only goal is to take our democratic system out back behind the barn to be put down rather than vote for a Democrat who doesn't 100% align with their beliefs.
The reason people like Hasan and his fans think that way is because the majority of them are rich and white, thus unaffected by the disastrous policies enacted by the GOP.
