Well done to our apprentices Lauren and Harrison, who were winners of the first monthly awards at the new Oxfordshire Advanced Skills training centre @OAS_UKAEA.

We are really excited to welcome all of our guests to the official launch of Oxfordshire Advanced Skills Training Centre (OAS).

Today we welcomed Ross Brawn OBE, Managing Director, Motorsports, Formula One to officially open the Oxfordshire Advanced Skills (OAS) Training Centre. We were joined by over 100 guests as Mr Ross Brawn OBE gave a short speech before officially opening the training centre.

OAS is complete, MTC have the keys, the equipment is installed and the trial day went well.... all set for the first 47 apprentices and 60 HNC students on Monday and 30 more apprentices later in the month. Still another intake in December. @OAS_UKAEA @the_MTC_org @MidasGroup

OAS practically completely. The building was handed over to UKAEA and MTC are already equipping the workshop, classrooms and labs ready to welcome the students on 9th September

The @RoyalSociety has today awarded UKAEA CEO Professor Ian Chapman the prestigious Kavli Medal. This is given in recognition of his "scientific insight that has illuminated the complex physics of confined plasmas and prepared the way for fusion burn.”
