I joined twitter 6.5 years ago to keep up with latest research on #drought, #sociohydrology, #hydrogeology, #environmental_justice, etc. I don't log on much anymore, but when I do, I get none of the above in my feed. Has everyone related to the above gone somewhere else? Where?

💧Today is #WorldWaterDay. It's in my cup of tea, it gives me a job, it's availability dominates planning for trekking across the Balkans this summer and I need to go to the shops now before it starts raining all day. I'm extremely fortunate that none of this is life or death. 🌧️

MSc thesis successfully completed by Gaël Kobessen: Potential impact of #sand_mining on water resources. 💡 If you take the sand, you take the alluvial aquifer, you reduce recharge to deep geology. A combination of MODFLOW + hydrogeological & participatory fieldwork in Botswana.
