@subfossilguy Just seen your post from today showing the rock debris and think I need to explain that back in 1987 this was a 100% ice route. It's unbelievable how almost all of the ice on the face has gone.

I've never seen anything like it. Salta, Argentina, has just recorded its hottest night on record during the climatologically coldest time of the year. The minimum overnight temperature did not fall below 26°C (78.8°F), pulverizing the previous monthly record by 7°C.

@sebastian_paul The anthropogenic effect on curent warming is virtually 100%. It's not an opinion, but an established scientific fact. Everything else is just bullshit meant to distract from action that would preserve a habitable Earth. Human can not adpat to +3-4°C wr to preindus.

@subfossilguy "We've done"? You and your studies have shown that these glaciers reductions are in no way unprecedented, and have happened before throughout history. It's admirable how you love mountains and glaciers, I do too. But go easy on the unfounded doom and gloom.
