@subarustevenz Just a small point, starmer went against reform in a GE, Labour won 411. Reform 5. We know starmer can beat them, Burnham, we dont. The UK is slowly getting better after 14 years of tory decline. This week, all focus should have been on Farage. Burnham made it about him.

He's also the only real chance we've got at curtailing Reform.

I need, NEED, Burnham to become PM. Thinking about HS2 and NPR being built in full makes hard.

A bit of Andy Burnham lore that shows exactly why I rate him so highly. I was chatting to a homeless guy who’d fallen on hard times one late evening recently. As a long shot, I messaged Burnham. Within minutes he replied and helped. He’s genuinely one of life’s good guys.

@wesstreeting If you weren't so arrogant, I am sure at some point you would recognise the damage you have personally caused to the country and for its citizens.

We need our best players on the pitch. There is no doubt that Andy Burnham is one of them. The Makerfield by-election will be tough. Votes will need to be earned. Andy is the best chance of winning and that should override factional advantage or propping up one person.

The Labour Party has 20,000 new members. They joined to support Starmer as PM. Not to support rebels because they can’t vote for them for at least 6 months after joining.

@RichardBurgon Starmer needs to withdraw the whip from these Labour MPs who are damaging the country. We elected a PM with a huge majority, we spoke only 2 years ago, and in your arrogance, you want to undo that and appoint a new PM who isnt even an MP. Then you complain about losing trust!

The single biggest challenge facing the Labour movement is stopping Nigel Farage becoming Prime Minister. Labour’s NEC must allow Andy Burnham to stand in Makerfield. Blocking him again would weaken Labour even further in the polls - and we may never recover.

@GeorgeFoulkes For the sake of starmer, the labour party, and the country, they should let him stand! He will lose, to arrogant and the people aren't thick, they know he doesn't care about them and is only focused on being PM. After his defeat starmer will ebay stronger.
