Reform UK told the BBC that he paid in cash for his £1.4m house in Surrey with his “I’m a Celebrity” fee from ITV and not with the £5m gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne - which Farage says was to provide him with security (physical, not financial). But the ITV “Celeb” fee was £1.5m, which would be £825,000 after tax, for a top-rate taxpayer like Farage. That’s £575,000 less than the price of the house. And even if the fee was paid into his “Thorn in the side” media company rather than directly to him, it would still be taxable, one way or another

I'm sick to death of MPs dragging our party to the fringes where elections can't be won. The last few days should have been the death of the reform party. You made it about labour instead.

Of course @Keir_Starmer would have wanted the NEC to block @AndyBurnhamGM again. But the reality is he doesn’t have any authority left. None whatsoever. It’s game over now. So no matter the result of the by-election we will have a new leader by the summer recess.

Starmer went there in 2013, met their PM. Mauritius has promised it's people tax cuts due to this windfall. On our side?

What has Labour really done to education? They have taken a wrecking ball to the cross party consensus that drove up school standards across this country. Labour looked at the evidence and chose ideology instead. They are following Wales down the same failed path. They promised that taxing education would create 6,500 new teachers. There are 400 fewer teachers. The Government claimed only 3,000 pupils would leave the private sector after their vindictive tax. The DfE’s own figures now show around 11,000 fewer pupils in private schools by mid 2025. And meanwhile schools are being pushed into the red by Rachel Reeves’ jobs tax & unfunded pay rises. Ministers talk about teacher satisfaction while the threat of strikes grow. Labour have failed to help students trapped on Plan 2 loans. They are doing nothing about dead end degrees that leave young people buried in debt with no serious job prospects. They have botched Ofsted reform and weakened accountability across the system. They have even made it illegal for people to donate school uniforms 🤯 They axed higher level apprenticeships and starts among U25 year olds fell in the last academic year. After dragging their feet for 18 months, they have watered down the guidance on gender questioning in schools. Children as young as 5 can according to their guidance “socially transition” at primary school. This is wrong. The £2 billion SEND blackhole remains & Labour will not tell parents whether the money will come from schools or SEND provision. Childcare costs have only been cut in half because Conservative reforms are working. Reforms Labour opposed every step of the way. Attendance has seen its best improvement in over a decade because they continued the changes that were already working. Behaviour remains a crisis in schools. Social media is fuelling violence and knife crime. Labour mocked our calls to ban phones in schools and introduce restrictions for under 16s. Thankfully this was one of their many u turns. Knives are still being brought into schools by children as young as six. Labour blocked out proposed tougher measures to crack down on knives in schools. Their curriculum review opens the door to more ideological teaching under the banner of “citizenship” for children as young as four, taking time away from the core knowledge and skills children need. Labour rejected our amendment to give parents the right to see what their children are being taught in school. Party politics over common sense. That is Labour’s record on education. They are trashing the progress we made and the country won’t forgive them for it.

The Labour government, Starmer, and Hermer do not believe in civil liberties. The communist Soviet Union also did not believe in civil liberties. Civil liberties are the fundamental individual rights and freedoms that protect citizens from excessive state interference, such as freedom of speech, assembly, privacy, and fair trial.

@MatthewStadlen @Jonathan_Hinder 20% of the electorate is not a landslide. It's certainly not a mandate to undermine our historic freedoms, jury curtailment and digital ID. Or cancelling elections. Your grasp of current low grade politics doesn't seem to equate to having any common sense.

People who are 'not conducive to the public good' can have 'privileges' suspended...internet, your own devices, travel. "Driving is a privilege, not a right"

@BowBelle69 @Wishitwasthewa1 Your driving licence is your digital ID. Your phone that you post on is your digital ID. Your bank. Finance. Passport. Health records. Fitness apps and phone. All digital, all you. The data centres will be used to collate that all. Movements, contacts, the lot.

I'm nearly 60. I certainly won't be having no digital ID. I have had a clean driving licence which I've held for 41 years. That's been good enough to use for my ID in all that time. #NoDigitalID #DigitalID

@blueboy2710 @Katie_Lam_MP Have you considered why 3 million of your countrymen took the time to sign a petition against it? They must have reasons. If you comply, you help normalise it, undermine their historic freedoms as well as your own. Better to stick together.

It will be used to control your access to the things you need, public services, internet services, your own money, your own devices. So ‘squatting Starmer’ is pushing through Digital ID in the King’s Speech. Yet another horrific policy that was NOT in Labour’s manifesto. He has no mandate for this. Reform will SCRAP Digital ID.
