From 2008 to 2013, gold and silver were my money. My escape from fiat. Then I had to move from Canada to Chile. I couldn't take my savings with me. You can't walk through an airport with bars of gold. You can't wire it. You can't move it fast. That was the moment I knew gold was not the final answer. In 2017, moving the rest of my gold and silver took months. Small amounts, trusted help, careful planning. Friction, cost, risk. If your money cannot move when your life moves, it is not sovereign enough. Bitcoin crosses every border in seconds. That's the upgrade.

When I was younger I had an insane stereo system in my van. 4 twelve inch subs, 10 tweeters, 4 amplifiers, dual battery. I showed it off to everyone. One day my best friend told me someone approached him trying to find out where I live. They wanted to rob me for the equipment. My own circle. Someone tried to use my best friend as the setup. I pulled everything out that day. The things you show off are the things people come for. This is why I never show my Bitcoin stack. Self-custody means silence.

When she arrived, she was arrested. 2 years in jail. That spying tool is installed on every foreigner's device in Dubai. That means the Dubai Police are watching everything foreigners send to their families. Every message. Every photo. Every video. Including the most intimate moments. Dubai has denied her a lawyer.
