Isn’t it just as simple as culture oscillating between fits? The 70s and 80s saw slimmer fit styles which slowly evolved into the baggy styles of the 90’s which became unpopular with the millennials who thought gen X wasn’t cool anymore so everything went slim again, and now Gen Z thinks the 90’s were cool so they go back to baggy.
