A notorious house on Sixth Street in Bremerton, across from the former rescue mission and boarded up the past year, is coming down this morning.

@HaileyAJameson One of them, the old Monica’s, was the boarded up building and it’s been demolished. The old rescue mission is fenced off and now being renovated, like people are there today doing work.

@davnelson Any idea if they are also going to tear down the boarded up former rescue mission & the other boarded up building next to it that are also currently fenced off?

Doing a little research on the Bay Bowl turned up an artifact that says a lot of what newspaper staffing priorities and capabilities were in the mid-1960s. What a gig!

@bikebremerton It’s… possible. The same owner/developer has fancy drawings for a downtown tower and years later it’s still a crumbling Eagles hall. So time will tell…
