I’m been MIA on Twitter for a while now. I lose interest when a platform starts to annoy me. Receiving notifications from people that aren’t connected to me and have nothing of value to say is annoying, wastes my time, and drives me to other platforms.

@sarahmfine Problem = ed tech developers & Ts fail to realize that the way to eliminate negative behaviors is to empower learners. Negative behaviors stem from either boredom or complicated tasks. Create authentic, relevant, & community-connected challenges for behavior problems to vanish.

@askMsQ @sarahmfine I just had this conversation with an Ed tech developer looking at AI. He was shocked that I was not a fan of MS. “But it’s what teachers want.” Me: “What teachers want and what they need are two different things.” AI that perpetuates outdated pedagogical practices is a waste.

I overheard at #ISTELive23 that an authentic audience is the other students in your class. 🥲 Please, let’s push beyond our classrooms! An authentic audience is one that has the potential to effect the change your learners desire to make in their world.
