@boysaremoe @footbirl mkw looks beautiful imo but maybe that’s just me.. i do agree nintendo is greedy about sales (2017 games should not still be $60) but i do think nintendos pricing has been somewhat fair recently, especially given the fact they introduced $50 digital games

@boysaremoe @footbirl out of what ive played - bananza is a good new 3d mario, mkw is great, air riders is the best nintendo multiplayer game since melee, pokopia is a better animal crossing.. i mean i just think the switch 2 library is not being recognized properly for what it is. aoi is mid tho

I do think Waluigi and Bandana Dee are just, non-negotiable for a Smash 6 roster. Original 12 levels of such. There’s no other character I’d say this about. Doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed for the real thing, but it does mean they can’t act shocked when people get mad.

@SockTalking louie doesn’t have any connections to pnf404 wildlife other than what is purely speculated beyond these two creatures. if marios moveset still doesn’t feature more powerups atp in the series, then i don’t think louies moveset would go this direction

@dazantDazant Sakurai's design varies from bias to bias. Olimar is a shadow of himself in Smash. Bowser, DK, & Wario are flanderized based on his view of them. If he was a Pikmin fan, he'd recognize Louie’s connection to PNF-404's creatures & his conquering spirit (he's cooked them all)

@SockTalking i think having a moveset like you suggested would be genuinely fantastic, but louie is only truly connected to the titan dweevil and the final boss in 4 (forgot that guys name oops). as cool as it would be, i don’t think that’s how sakurai approaches moveset design

@dazantDazant No, but this pitch IS Louie’s character. The final boss of Pikmin 2, the mischief he pulled in 3, the kidnapping of the koppaites, wicked dandori skills, and yet another final boss fight in 4. This is moveset is just as much "references" as Bowser Jr. getting the clown car.

@SockTalking i do like this idea a lot, but it’s been kinda clear that this would not be the direction they’d take for a hypothetical louie moveset. they seem more keen on finding out how characters would realistically fight, rather than jamming the moveset full of references
