The Fever could be driving Caitlin Clark out of Indiana:
Last night, she was expected to suit up, and 1.5 hours before the game, she was announced out, which is a direct violation of injury reports.
They also reportedly plan to load manage her all season despite her suggesting that she’s healthy and only 24.
Tension in the locker room over Caitlin’s popularity.
😬😬😬

@JessicaSte95583 @robinlundberg He didn’t blame her. This more stupid conspiracy bs.
Her awareness for the fan experience is probably why she signed autographs for an extended period of time before the game - more than usual.
English

@robinlundberg Don’t try to blame CC for their last minute decision. I don’t believe the way CC is with her fans that she would have signed off on the late announcement
English

@scottde07820838 She said she was sore. You’re ridiculous. Keep spinning this web - everything’s a lie so nothing is. 🤦🏻♂️
English

@db6622 And we all seen and know Caitlin been having back problems from game1 and they said it was nothing now it's something, weird that..
English

@scottde07820838 False. They said she intended to play that’s why she wasn’t on the report. They didn’t scratch her until just before the game.
English

@db6622 We knew just before the game the Fever knew the day before because she didn't practice because she was having treatment and so the injury report should have said Caitlin Clark questionable "back" and it wasn't.
English

@unbiasedwnba @tennisdudz22 Nobody believes that. The people that push that narrative are the people that want to see her elsewhere.
English

@scottde07820838 Hoping they are they bc they are getting ready to announce her trade
English

@MeganMorgan295 It’s sad. I’m honestly at a point where I think the Fever need to think about revoking some media credentials from their practices. Because if these reporters only know how to feed the online crazies then you can’t come into our practices. Write something worthwhile or get out.

Steph’s answers added up for anyone with common sense. Caitlin had a sore back. She probably could’ve played through it (like she has been), and she probably was going to, but a last-minute decision was made to rest her to avoid further injury or issues. END STORY.

Caitlin Clark missed her first game of the season, and Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White's answers about her availability didn't quite add up. usatoday.com/story/sports/w…

whitney medworth@its_whitney
you’re going to be amazing bc you are amazing 🥲
English

@JaimeLardis You’re just a CC hater keep slurping up Stephanie White maybe she will let you hook up with her
English

@25Jamie25 @robinlundberg Yep agreed. They’re covering for her. She had 2 viral moments disrespecting Briann and Steph. Reprimanded!
English

The Fever opened themselves up to scrutiny from the WNBA with how they handled Caitlin Clark's injury status.

@FeverBandwagon Seamless switches. Very impressed on the defensive side of the floor.

Just Women’s Sports@justwsports
Caitlin Clark celly’s from the bench 😂
English

@ericaf455 @mp4995491 If the plan was for her to play until the pregame workout, it’d make sense.
English

@mp4995491 Decided not to play later and they were on their way from Iowa already maybe 🤷🏻♀️? Anne and Brent also give great moral support so it’s hard to say.
