@hausfath @atrembath @ramez There are obvious reasons for this. The US is paying a price premium to be less dependent on China, a geopolitical rival. Building a full-stack domestic supply chain isn't cheap. But costs will amortize over time. Another swing and miss for the Breakthrough Bros™.

If Stevens is the nominee, Abdul will probably have to endorse her and do events with her if she wants to win over enough of those young voters. I think Abdul is a team player and will do his part…but Stevens definitely needs to earn that endorsement probably with a policy concession or two. 🤷‍♂️

Favorability was also tested, with El-Sayed holding a 7-point net advantage over Stevens. Half of Democrats under 40 and Democratic Socialists view Stevens unfavorably. If some of those voters stay home in November, it could severely complicate her path to victory.

This is going to be super close. Some polls have Abdul winning and polls like this one have Stevens. The big money groups spending on her behalf have made this a tight race. I’m now thinking this is a tossup. McMorrow hold outs are moving to Stevens now. The Black vote is coalescing behind Stevens. Can Abdul turn out enough young and progressive voters to win this? Idk… Tossup

Really? Why on earth would a football match be allowed to determine a matter of sovereignty and democracy? It’s just football (not even a proper sport like cricket or rugby). If we win Wednesday but lose to Spain Sunday are the Falklands safe but we have to surrender Gibraltar?
