Very disappointed that Lt. Governor Evette’s invite to speak at SC State University’s commencement was withdrawn. Pam is the Lt. Governor of our great state and the idea that her speech would have been anything less than inspiring to these graduates and their families is based in a close-minded, woke ideology. When it comes to applying pressure, liberals seem to have no boundaries. To those who give in, believe it or not, it will create consequences over time. The sooner we break from the wokeness that permeates our society — especially in higher education and at a great school like SC State — the better.

Now back to SCSU I am concerned with how the LT Governor will respond and how the state will target SCSU even more now. All I got to say is yall get ready to help bail out folks AND put up money for donations because that HBCU may lose even more funding if they already haven’t.

Evette met with the press this morning after SCSU pulled her as it's commencement speaker.
Long story short: she's unapologetic, including around "mob" comments, said her speech was intended to be uplifting.
The university president has also not personally been in touch.
