Evette met with the press this morning after SCSU pulled her as it's commencement speaker. Long story short: she's unapologetic, including around "mob" comments, said her speech was intended to be uplifting. The university president has also not personally been in touch.

It’s hard to imagine that a caucus would claim to support freedom and then demand that their state’s largest HBCU be defunded because students used their first amendment rights, but in South Carolina you don’t have to just imagine…
