It seems like the tides have suddenly changed. Sounds like Penguins/Flyers to 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday and Sabres/Bruins to Sunday. That’d put Carolina/Ottawa at 5:00 p.m. ET, I assume.

@JFreshHockey Isn’t that part of the argument for it being a bad system? Also, it’s kinda funny that all pens fans are saying they automatically win an extra 3-4 games without this. A lot of other teams rested players and won games, pens should’ve been able to do that as well

@JhanHky Something hurricanes related. Interested to see if they made any substantial changes to their pp from early in the season to a couple of months in when it took off. They started putting Staal in to take faceoffs for more possession but imagine there’s much more to it than that.

@JustWanaBS Yeah, there’s a close to 0% chance canes do that. He’s not the guy all things considered, superstar or not. Wrong side of age curve to give out that much term and $, poor fit for team and player, doesn’t solve a positional need while taking up significant cap space, etc.

@dc_cane5 If he wants to go 5-6 I think that numbers closer to 10 but yah a 5x11 they could absolutely do. Friedman mentioned it on the pod the other day, 11M sounds more than it’s gonna be in 2-3 years. It’s not a deal breaker for teams.

@AGoldFan Do nhl refs answer questions from pool reporters in the nhl like in other leagues? Would love to hear the explanation..if he missed it (not sure how) at least own up and be accountable. Seems like league should probably advocate for that with their dealings with gambling.

@ByronMBader Also, D-1 NHLe is 11 on your chart. Which leagues did you use to get that? He played UMHSEHL and USHS-MN in D-1 - I only use USHS-MN, never looked UMHSEHL. What are your conversion #s for those league(s)?
