@mirtle The reaction to Chayka by most hockey media and management has been excessive, ruthless and generally cruel. Do you believe it is deserved based on what he did in Arizona? Seems over the top. I mean Bowman, Quenneville, Hart etc… are back in the league with no issue.

Simmons asks an important question given how universally disliked this hire is. Not just by media, but people around the league are genuinely stunned that Chayka is being given a second chance.

One market has way too many reporters who produce way too much content resulting in a thirst for negativity and failure. Even when the Leafs were good every year my favourite podcasts would complain about the dog days…

Steve Simmons is one of the most embarrassing, garbage human beings in hockey. Media privileges privilege to these availability’s should be revoked yesterday. He is by far, and it’s not close, the most toxic reporter in Toronto. Ask a question without being disrespectful for once, goof.
