Zero is the only number that doesn’t. He didn’t pretend people will stop. It’s the same trade-off as eating a cheeseburger, you know it’s not optimal, but it tastes good in the moment, so you do it anyway. Clear data. Honest cost-benefit. No moralizing.

With a TV call you can go long stretches where you let the visuals tell the story with no talking backing it up. That, obviously, doesn't work for radio. Also, on radio the first rule is 'mention the score every 2 minutes' as people are popping in and out of the broadcast especially in their cars. That, obviously, doesn't happen on tv (there's a score bug for that). Another issue is hearing an analysts say things like "as you can see here' or 'watch this' as they talk over replays. No good for radio. This is just a couple of reasons why TV simulcasts always sound 'off' on radio and can be frustrating for the person listening.

I listen to the radio feeds while driving. best in the business are Conor Mcgahey from Colorado and Dave Mishkin from Tampa. You can really tell who the terrible play by play guys are because they fail to paint a picture of the game. Emerson Etem is the worst commentary guy by far. he sounds like an auctioneer from the 1940s

@JeffMarek Let’s be honest, most radio broadcast suck. I’d take a Gord Miller play by play with no visual over anything I’ve heard on the radio. Joe Bowan is one of the best and you still have no idea what’s going on. Just says names and raises his voice.

I think I’ve reached the point where I’d rather stay in a hotel than an Airbnb. I don’t want to buy groceries. I don’t want to take out the trash. I don’t want to strip the bed before checkout. I want a cozy hotel room, breakfast waiting downstairs, housekeeping doing their thing, and zero responsibilities while I’m on vacation. When I’m traveling, I want to be a guest, not a temporary homeowner.

They spent two seasons building Criston into one of the central figures of the Dance, only for him to be taken out by the Blackwoods like an unnamed foot soldier.
